These had amazing reviews and several travel blogs billed them as THE ...
I never write reviews, but for these booties I felt it was necessary. These had amazing reviews and several travel blogs billed them as THE walking shoe for European vacations. I purchased them with high hopes and full confidence that the $100+ wouldn't be wasted. When I first got them, I immediately noticed that they were rubbing around my ankles - but I read about that and thought that I just needed to wear higher socks. So, I got new socks (think light weight black running socks that hit around the ankle). Then, I realized that I was getting blisters and that the toe box was too tight, and the insoles were not comfortable. I kept wearing, trusting all the reviews that they would break in eventually. After about a month of almost daily wear they were still so tight that my toes were tingling and going numb. I purchased a shoe stretcher, hoping that would help. Still, too tight. I have had these shoes for about two months with regular wear. I have been a 7.5 in shoes my entire adult life and I purchased them in a 7.5 based on reviews that they are true to size. I'm stuck with these ill-fitting shoes, but you don't have to be.

The fabric covered heel does not hold up after 5-6 weeks.
I love the fit, heel height, and that this boot is waterproof. I purchased after a travel blog review that highly recommended this brand and model . Usually I wear them 4 times a week. On one of those days I walk 5-10 miles, and my feet are still happy. Now the unhappy part of this review, and why I gave only 1 star. Until someone pointed out the white spot on the back of my heel, the heel appeared to be a black stacked wood. In fact it is a plastic covered with a fabric, which now has a hole in it.I began wearing these after the weather got cold enough in November, and probably have worn them 5 weeks total. 20 times.

I want to love them and give them five stars but the red "hot spot" on my ankle bone won't let me.
I love the look and they are comfortable overall. I'm 8 hours into wearing them for the first time. There is a seam on the right bootie near the top of the zipper that sticks out a bit extra - there is a tiny bump - that is rubbing my ankle when I walk. Hoping it doesn't blister is this is something that will fade over time as they are broken in. I was disappointed to discover the issue as it wasn't initially apparent when I tried them home and walked inside my house. The bump seems like the result of a little sloppiness in the construction of the bootie which isn't something I expect at this price point. I want to love them and give them five stars but the red "hot spot" on my ankle bone won't let me.

Fantastic boots, but be ok with the sound of the heels!
Loved these boots for my fall/winter trip to Italy - sometimes wore them while carrying my backpack (easier than trying to pack them in there) and never had any issues with sore feet or slipping on wet cobblestones. They also kept my feet warm and dry and the leather really adapted nicely to my foot shape. The only thing that I wish I could change is the 'click-clack'-ing sound that they make. I really prefer to fly below the radar and I often found myself trying to step more lightly in an attempt to not make so much noise. Aside from drawing attention to myself in the daytime, this especially made me nervous a few times when I was walking alone at night in a more residential area. Maybe it wouldn't have been a big deal in the city 'center', with others wearing similar shoes at that time, but on the quieter streets it struck me that they might act like a homing beacon for people who'd be looking for a woman walking alone at night (the alone part would be obvious from a distance through the lack of conversation and/or other footsteps).Paranoid? Eh, I see it as aware... a level of awareness which kept me safe traveling for 6 weeks by myself. I ended up making these my 'strictly daytime' shoes when I thought I might end up walking alone later in the evening.

Not as Comfortable as the Valli Bootie
I ordered these by mistake when I wished to purchase a second pair of Blondo VALLI Booties (similar name and style threw me) . These did not feel as comfortable and I didn’t like the look of them when I put them on. They’re slightly shorter than the other ones I prefer. Check out the Blondo VALLI Bootie.

Great looking boot, extremely comfortable
Alrighty, after ordering several sizes for my wife (she runs between an 8 1/2 and 9) we finally found the right fit. Worth the struggle to get them. She wanted these for a trip we were taking which involved a fair amount of walking in cold wet weather. We walked 5+ miles, every day, for 11 days and her fit didn’t hurt in the least. We toured museums, ran to catch trains, climbed towers and she said she felt like she was walking on clouds. It took her 4 months to decide on this shoe and it has become a staple for her.We both would highly recommend. Her for style and comfort and me because I had a happy wife!

Ill-fitting, overly narrow toe box
Shoes are the one thing I am the perfect archetype for. My feet are like perfect feet shape which isn't really much of a thing to have perfect, but I've never had a problem ordering shoes online before. I don't run into problems with quality shoes, that are designed well, because generally speaking my feet shape are the standard kind of feet. For the price, I would have expected these to have been crafted well, and true to size, but they are not. The toe box is more narrow than the heel, by far and makes no sense. If you wear socks, your toes are cramped, if you don't wear socks, your heel slides around. The inside seam where the zipper is also rubs terribly, so you CAN'T not wear socks. All in all, these are a bad design and I'm irked that several travel blogs told me how great these are, and they definitely are just not manufactured well. They look nice, and are stylish, but considering I just blue almost 200 bucks on shoes I can't wear, it's not really a bonus that they look nice.

Highly Recommend!
I wore these boots all across Europe! They were very comfortable to walk in all day, more comfortable than the Tieks and Skechers that I also purchased for the trip. Several days were rainy, the boots got wet, my feet did not! The boots dried nicely, and looked brand new.

This made the width fit better but it does make it looser to wear
This is definitely waterproof! However, for wider fit, if you go for your usual size it will pinch. I took a half size bigger (I’m usually US 6 but I got US 6.5). This made the width fit better but it does make it looser to wear. However the inner sole is not as padded as I expected so my initial use had my arch a little sore. My tip is to purchase an additional inner sole that will soften or provide additional cushion.

Not Black Leather
The listing said black leather and the box they came in said black leather but they are black suede. I sent the first pair back due to some damage and the fact that they looked used and were black suede. Plan to keep this pair but they are NOT black leather and that is what I really wanted.

The leather is actually suede, not as wide as expected
Just received these boots today so this is a first impression.I ordered “black leather” and received black suede boots. Other reviews indicated this might happen so I’m not completely surprised. It’s a nice, dark black so luckily I quite like them.As for the sizing, the length seems accurate, but for a wide fitting, they’re not very wide. They fit my foot but would be a small C fitting at best. They’re quite cosy and the lining is a cute tartan/plaid. Looking forward to wearing them through winter.

Stylish boots
Beautiful leather boots in a soft mushroom color came earlier than promised. I have never purchased this brand before and am So grateful for the large sizes available but didn’t realize they were so wide! The length seems appropriate but the width is much wider than a medium, so much that I’ve placed an insert in the boot to keep it on my foot. I kept the boots because they were such a great price and the size is hard to find. The quality is apparent and the waterproof capability is desirable...I will definitely keep checking out Blondo for more boots.

Waterproof
I purchased these for a trip to Ireland. The heel is a bit higher that I was used to. I have a narrow heel and found I was slipping forward which did not make these the most comfortable bootie to wear all day as I had hoped. If they fit you correctly they would be great. I purchased them online after searching for what I was looking for - there were no local places where I could try them on. They arrived too close to my trip to send them back and I had no alternative so prayed. They look great but only for short days not whole days of walking. My opinion only.
