I got 2nd degree burns on my leg when the pot I was frying chicken tipped over and splashed on my leg. To say it was painful is a joke, I figured this is COVID time, no need to go to the hospital and mostly, I didn't think the burn was that bad.Fast forward 2 weeks I thought the burn got infected, so I had to go to the hospital. I did not realize how serious it was until I reached there and was told it was second degree burns and I was treating it wrong. Fast forward after some serious tongue lashing by medical staff I was sent to the room after temperature and blood check for a diagnosis.Turned out, it was not infected (thank you aloe and vinegar wash) and I focused on the materials they used to bandage the wound. This was one of them. I asked what it was for. I was told that it had antibacterial properties but most importantly, it prevented the dressing from sticking to the wound and causing a peel back ( you know, that thing what happens when the guaze sticks to the wound and when you peel it pack the wound starts bleeding or is left vunerable again because the protective layer (scab) is gone.)I can't say it prevented my wound from becoming infected because a silver cream (when medical staff dressed the wound) and aloe (when I dressed it myself) was used, so either one or all three could have prevented infection, but what I can say is that the wound finally started to scab over and heal quicker when this was used.Would I buy again. Most assuredly. Would I recommend. Definitely. Did it help, yes it did.

I had major surgery and had open incisions that required secondary wound healing and my surgeon recommended Bactigras. It helped greatly in the healing process and this was the best price for two packages of Bactigras I found, what an awesome deal. It helped a lot since my budget is tight. You can cut it to the size use need just sanitize your scissors and cut it into the size you need. I cut one sheet into four squares since it comes in a large sheet and kept it sealed in a ziplock bag between use. Make sure the Bactigras has full contact with the wound then cover with a nonstick gauze pad and then hold in place with medical micropore tape. I’m glad my surgeon recommended it and that I was able to find it on Amazon.

This is a product manufactured in India, and therefore should be cheap, but is not on Amazon. However, the product is good and served the purpose for which I bought it.

My son has severe eczema and at places where his skin has particularly thickened, scratchy and oozing this bandage helps protect the area from getting infected and keeps the moisture in to heal his dry skin.
