This is the one!!
I bought this and another charger at the same time but ended up returning the other one. Why you may ask? The testing features on this model are awesome. The other unit only charged and for the same money I can get testing and charging. If you think a rechargeable battery is a bad, let it charge, then test it. The device will drain the battery, then charge it again - letting you know exactly how many mAHs the battery is able to produce WHILE IT IS IN USE, not just how many it put in. You can also pick the charging rate if you don't want to wait longer for it to charge on 500mA. I personally think the slower you charge a battery the longer it lasts - just my opinion. You can also charge both Ni-MH, Ni-CD, and Li-ion. I use it everyday for normal AA/AAA rechargeable batteries and my 18650's - at the same time. For the price, I really do not think you can buy a better product.

Versatile accurate charge
I really like this charger, hands down winner. I have tested so many different charger, this one got them all. It charges and discharge to measure true mAH and resistance. It even comes with a NOR mode which not too many vendor implements it, not even in later series. This product does run a little warm inside a 90 degree garage thanks to its temperature protection mode you don't have to worry about starting a fire. When installing in backward polarity, it automatically blocks you from using the product which is a very smart feature. The spring action is a bit strong so be careful when using or you'll see your battery comes flying. And it actually charges 1000mAh per channel, not split up like other cheap charger. This thing is quite big and heavy too comparing to cheaper charger so you know you're getting good value. USB output might be useful for some people but I didn't care too much for it. $30 is pricey but for what its worth, this is truly an excellent value. I only wish the vendor makes an 8 channels version of this unit. I don't like their newer models at all, they don't do fast and NOR test like this one.

Flexible multi-functional charger
Easy to use. Each battery slot works independently and can automatically detect battery type. So it can work with different types and sizes of batteries with different currents in different modes simultaneously. There are six function buttons. Each of the “1234” buttons is used to select the relevant slot. The MODE button is used to switch between CHARGE, FAST TEST, and NOR TEST modes. And the CURRENT button is for choosing current from 300mA, 500mA, 700mA, and 1000mA. The readouts on the screen are well organized and easy to read. Once you put a battery into a slot, the slot will be selected automatically. In 8 seconds, you can change the mode or current if you want. All of your settings will be locked after 8 seconds, and the charger will take care of the rest. If you want to change the settings, you need to press the MODE for 3 second to reset. Here is how the three modes work.- CHARGE mode -It will automatically enter the charge mode once you put in a battery. You can select another charging current by pressing the CURRENT button, or choose a different mode by pressing the MODE button. A steady End icon will appear in the lower left of the screen when fully charged.- FAST TEST mode -Discharge → Recharge. Like some other intelligent chargers, it measures the battery capacity during charging process. The measured capacity will be a charge capacity which is higher than the real capacity as “it always takes more to charge a battery”. The steady End icon will appear when the test is finished.- NOR TEST mode -Recharge → Discharge → Recharge. It measures the battery capacity during discharging process. The measured capacity will be a discharge capacity which is considered to be the actual capacity. A flashing End icon will appear when the discharge process is finished, and the capacity will stop increasing and stay. The End icon will stop flashing once the whole test is done, but the capacity will remain the same. So if you just want to check the real capacity but don’t want to get it fully charged, you can take out the battery once the discharge process is done, to save time.It also supports usb output with li-ion batteries when power supply is disconnected. A usb connection icon will show on the screen when this feature is activatedIn conclusion, it’s a good charger to have at this price. I like the the way it checks the battery capacity. I wish it would support more types of batteries with more voltages and also display the battery type on the screen in a later version of the product.

Powerful
Tests the capacity of batteries as well as charging them. It is a very slow process. Can’t be helped. An 18650 holds alot of power. But I’m not sure how accurate this unit is though. Putting an 18650 in it twice gives you two different values of internal resistance. Which is accurate? And what unit is ’R’? Resistance is given in Ohms, not ’Rs’.I bought it to use with my pv system. Never intended to plug it into gridpower. Still, a wallplug was included. Can’t use it in my country but the thought is nice. I would have opted out of getting a wallplug had I known. It is unclear how sensitive the unit is to other than 12 Vdc input. It seems very specific and sensitive. There is even a warning tag. 12Vdc only. But the 12V adapter is intended for use in cars where the battery is never 12V. And my pv system can go above 13V on a sunny day. So what does the 12V adapter do? Is it a voltage stabilizer? Am I in risk of frying the device? It kind of bothers me that the unit is ’upside down’. Positive is down and negative is up in relation to the display. For me positive is up and I keep putting the batteries in the wrong way.It would have been great to be able to set a specific test mode as default. Having hundreds upon hundreds of cells to test, dialing in the desired testmode with every single cell becomes quite tedious.

Works great love the testing feature
This product does but it says it does it charges and test 18 650 batteries as well as some others. I have been using it to recycle 18 650s and it has been very efficient. I’ve gone through close to 50 cells. I can say if you were doing this with thousands of cells, you may want a few of them as testing can be time consuming.

Best Charger IMO
This is the second LiitoKala Lii-500 Battery Charger I have owned. The first one lasted for years before I dropped and cracked the case. Low cost and lots of features.
