Marquette Castings 6 qt. Cast Iron Dutch Oven (Gray)

I bought this for my induction cooktop. It is a wonderful pot! Works great on my cooktop! I hand washed my pot, and it was very easy to clean! It is also a beautiful pot! Very happy with it!

***Updated my review from three stars to five because I was contacted by the seller asking if I was satisfied with my purchase. I sent the picture of the chipped lid and they were very apologetic and are sending a replacement lid. This was awesome customer service!I have used it several times and love the even cooking temperature and the flat bottom! It cleans up like a dream....Original post - A bit disappointed that it arrived with a chipped lid.... Haven't had a chance to cook with it yet but am hopeful that I didn't waste my money on something that won't hold up over time!!!

Looks very nice, wasn’t sure about the 6qt size but it actually is perfect for family 4 with a good bit of extra room if you wanted to do some more. Started off with a 2.5 or so lb roast and veggies it seared excellent better than I knew was possible. Then roasted for about 3. Hours. All items came out so flavorful. I think the drip rings on the lid helped keep it all basted. The quality of this looks very good and clean up was super easy even considering it had seared and roasted.

This is a good quality pot for the price. Wish the color was a bit more consistent (I don't care for the "fade" from bottom to top). But, pot cooks like a dream-esp and at 1/3 the cost of other brands

I got this in grey and have to say it is a beautiful color and shiny however i have decided to return it....Inside there was a raised small bump of cast iron and the enamel was not as thick as you could see the black through it....I didnt want to chance something going wrong down the road......These are on the thinner side like Le Creuset and i liked that a lot.....The finish is not as smooth as LC,you can see kind bumpy but not so much that you feel it,,,It was not to bad at all..The nob on top works well if you lift it from under hand between fingers......I talked to the guy at CS and he was telling me they are working on making these in the usa and if they do they might discontinue this china made line.Those will be priced much higher of course...I wondered today how that would affect the warranty if you ever had to use it...All in all for the price these are nice and much better than the other cheaper brands out there that i have seen or had..Cs is great to!........Today i ended up buying a 5.5 qt LC for a awesome deal but do look forward to checking out there american made line down the road..

I enjoy cooking so much and went many years without a good dutch oven and now I'm so sad for me-in-the-past. Do yourself a favor and let quality cookware shave away margins of error involved in temperature control, heat distribution, and oven safety. Bread, roasts, soups, braises, stews, sauces...it's all easier when you have the right tool. Can't believe I waited so long. I've used it about a dozen times now with no evidence of the enamel threatening to chip or scratch. The thinner walls, handles, and lids make for easy hand-washing since it is lighter than traditional dutch ovens, but you still get a good thickness of thermal mass on the bottom.It's as easy to clean as any other porcelain plated cookware: I typically let it soak, then get after it with non-stick safe sponges and scour pads. I retired three stock pots and saucepans after a day with this fella. The investment should last you a lifetime and I'm looking forward to many more years with mine.

As expected and 6qt is perfect size..nice color and no imperfections.

I purchased the product after reading the reviews.It arrived in perfect condition. Included instructions for care and washing, nicely boxed. People mentioned the knob being sharp. I wouldn't consider it sharp, it does have pointed edges but it didn't bother my hand. I've used it a few times and it performed as expected. I thought the price was a good value as these pots can go for hefty sums. The item has weight and I do take care to grasp it firmly and securely as not to smash my glass stovetop. I would purchase the item again.
