Good, inexpensive step-up ring. No jamming but could be improved with knurling on the edge of the ring.

You do get what you pay for, and this is the cheapest step-up ring I could find.Pros:- No binding- No light leaks- Threads have held up to heavy use so far- The aluminium is lightweight- I don't get any vignetting with only one filter- I saved hundreds on new filters- Fits on any 49mm lens and any 52mm filter -- I tested Sony and Pentax lenses, and Tiffen, Hoya, Zeikos, and Vivitar filters- Cheap to replace if one breaksCons:- The edge isn't knurled, making it hard to remove from the lens and from other filters- It is anodised aluminium, not brass, so it will be easier to bend and break- I do get vignetting with very wide lenses and multiple filters, as expected

Adapter ring works perfectly, which isn't too hard since it has one function. Still why pay more? It's aluminum and well constructed.

Works well, threads seem fine. As long as you dont reef down when tightening, then it should last.

Made of what looks like anodized aluminum, threads onto filters and lenses very smoothly, yet tightens without binding. Highly recommended!

I hired the PL100-400mm for an airshow, though needed an ND filter to fit it. Since I intend to eventually buy the lens, I bought the filter, but didn't want it to go to waste. So I picked up this step-up ring so that I could still utilise it with the shooter PL50-200mm.It is well manufactured, and fits the filter thread of the 50-200 very well. One thing to note is that you cannot fit the lens hood when using this, as it is wider than the hood. Something to bear in mind.
