Whoever designed this product knows what they're doing. They addressed all the issues with other sensor protectors that I've used and by far I am glad I purchased this one.Here are reasons why I'll keep buying this protector.1. The sensor does not get wet. For other sensor protectors, I've had to cover it with my hand while taking a shower because water gets behind the sensor. The water then caused a rash that was really irritating. Even scarred me. So far the sensor has stayed dry and even the original patch that the sensor has stayed on for the full 10 days.2. I'm fairly active and with other sensor covers the adhesion was terrible and it would start to lift every time I bent over to grab something or kneeled to work (I recently changed the flooring for our house). Eventually, the adhesion would wear off and the sensor would fall off.3. If you want to change the sensor cover this product has an additional cover so that as you lift the exterior layer it doesn't lift the sensor's adhesion pad. This is genius and protects the original sensor. So if I want to clean it I can easily remove the exterior layer that has the adhesive and apply a new one.4. With other protectors, I'd constantly be worrying about it in the shower and all the time really. With this product, I forget about it, even in the shower.All in all this product is the best out there for protection. If you're hesitant, just buy it. My son is 12 in type 1.. we have struggled to find stuff to protect his dexcom.. he was scared to get in the shower and be with his sensor again and back to finger pricks.. so far so good with this cover.. his skin is not irritated dry or wet. No rash and when he rough House with his brother it hadn't came off unlike the other covers.. if your going to buy anything for your dexcom I highly recommend you give this a try first instead of wasting your hard earned money!!

My son recommended these. He has been using for a while. He frequently swims and roughhouses with his kids. The patch last the length of his CGM sensor. I am on day 8 of the first one I have used and it is still in good shape.

I like the gauze insert over the adhesive part of the G6. If you have to replace it before the 10 days this keeps you from tearing the adhesive and sensor off while changing it.
