Speedometer never worked, now its failing to stay on
I originally left a negative review for this product because I was unhappy with my experience. However, the seller reached out to me and fully refunded my money without any request on my part. They went above and beyond to make things right and I am now satisfied with my experience. I appreciate their excellent customer service

Wont stay on after using device for a number of weeks now
**** Look for a different Camera ****camera continuously turns on and off. Worked great for a few weeks and now will not stay on. I do a lot of driving so I want a camera that works consistently. I have tried formatting the SSD cards which worked for a bit but now is no longer working. Reset to factory and Format SSD via device to no avail. Always have to format SSD via PC which now is no longer working.

Works great!
So far the camera is working great! I pulled the card out after driving for a few days to check the quality and to make sure it's working. Both cameras produced really clear videos, day and night. My only gripe is that the power cord has a built in cigarette lighter plug so you can't plug anything else in unless you have more than one plug-in up front. I tried to use it with a regular USB-C cord and it would turn on but then off again. Other than that, the quality seems really good.

Works well but hard to lock clips
This is a good dash cam, replacing an older unit with a horrible internal clock. (NOTE: I recommend you always announce the time of day when you start any dash cam. I put a sticker on the camera saying "Check the recording for correct date/time.")This camera has good video and is supposed to track your GPS coordinates as well. To see video with a map overlay, however, is a non-trivial process and uses proprietary, really crummy software. I've computer-savvy enough that I can run some tools to extract data from a video file, but most people will not want to make that effort. In fact, I don't usually want to make that effort unless I'm mapping a road rally route. My biggest complaint is that it's hard to remember the button sequence necessary for "locking" (saving) a recording. For example, you see a guy run a red light. Unless you either save it right away or download it right away, the recording will be overridden. Unfortunately, there's no obvious separate lock button. If I recall correctly, you have to tap the third button from the left twice to save a recording. It's still not clear to me if it saves the previous segment or the current three minute segment or both, so you've gotta act fast.I recommend you carry a couple of extra MicroSD cards (properly formatted) so that if you need to save something, you swap out the cards until you can download them to your computer.Lastly, this camera does not have a way to insert your license plate number in the recorded video the way my old cheapy camera did. That's not important, but it would be nice to have.Still, all in all, I'm keeping the camera and use it whenever I'm on the road.

It is perfect. It is what I always looking for.
I was looking for a front and rear dash cam with GPS for quick access to video clips. After a lot of research, I decided to buy a Veement Dash Cam.It is a 2.45-inch screen, GPS enabled 4k dash cam with 1080 internal rear camera, this is a great deal for you. Offers good dynamic range in all lighting conditions (day and night). Setup is very simple, just mount the camera and put in the SD card (don't forget to buy one SD card), and plug it in. You need to format the SD card, which takes a second. Not only that, but it records real-time GPS data, including speed and location. When I inserted the micro SD card into the computer, I noticed that can run a media player. So I installed it and it showed the recorded video along with my location on the map. It also shows the speed of the media player.Customer service is great. The company reached out to me about any issues they could fix to make it better. Overall, I am satisfied with the installation process, picture quality, and interface.

Lasted less than 6 months
I bought three of these. One for each car. Using for less than 6 months and one has already quit working. Also we had an issue where a truck was driving erratically and ran us out of the road. I called to report it and they wanted to see the video. I put the memory card in my computer and could not view the video. I had to download a program to be able to view it. The picture quality was really good, but the video I needed to see had already been recorded over. It loops so that it never runs out of storage, but I would expect to be able to complete a drive before it loops. It was useless the one time that I needed it, and now it doesn't work at all. I can plug the camera into one of the cords in a different car and it works, so the camera is fine, but the cord is dead.

Not working as expected
I bought this product few months back and mounted on my car, but I realize recently it it keep crashing and restarting but itself. I thought it was sd card issue and replace with new one but still having issues.

Video Looks like it's working, but no longer records
This item worked at first and it recorded and actually was pretty reliable and simple to use then first time it was left out in the heat which the manufacturer should know this items going to be in the windshield of a car and it gets hot well that's what broke it but the video camera still has footage on it looks like it's working but it's not recording cuz all the components are fried from the heat. Beware it only lasted me a year

Does not work as registrator
I chose this camera because none of reviews said it may stop working. Well, now I need to add such review. Camera stops working randomly, any time soon after energizing. I used power supply outlet, power bank, standard 12V car outlet and after some time (3 - 20 minutes) it shuts down without any warning or message regardless of the power source used.Looks like manufacturer knows about this "feature" because manual includes this issue in troubleshooting list. They suggest to change SD card. I did, I put one of the best in the market and it changed nothing. Returned camera to vendor.

Decent dashcam, above average FRONT video quality, LIMITED plate capture, GPS, well-built
This is a decent dashcam if you are aware of its LIMITATIONS (and to a certain degree with most other dashcams out there nowadays) and while it works without any issues and comes with all the necessary accessories (cables, pry tool, adhesives/stickers, suction cup (contains GPS unit) supplied, I'm a bit disappointed at the video quality (as I nearly always have been), specifically its inability capture license plates unless it's at least 1-2 car-length DIRECTLY ahead of the dashcam (let's see if this will change in 2023).✔ Note that the interior cam for this kit is 1080p and it is substantially better than most others rear cams out there (least of which is simply because most others are 720p which are just junk); however, it is also noticeably WORSE than the front cam so if the front cam can barely capture the license plate, it's not difficult to imagine just how limited the interior cam is (but it IS for a different purpose and I digress).✘ Also keep in mind that this NOT a dual 4K dashcam; the front cam is 4K and the interior cam is 1080p only. Also note that the front cam is 4K@30fps when interior cam is disabled; otherwise they are 25 fps when BOTH are enabled. Lastly, both cameras use HEVC/h.265 codec which produces inferior videos as far as I'm concerned. In comparison to most other 1080p dashcams, this one is noticeably better in terms of video quality and its 4K video quality is roughly the same as MOST other claimed 4K dashcams (probably due to the fact that they're the same lens/processors underneath the different outer casing. i.e. same product sold under different brands). The video for the front cam is 3840x2160@25 FPS with a MP4 container. It's noticeably BETTER than those dashcams with AVI container (most of them found here are using AVI at the time of this writing) and slightly better than those that use MP4 containers encoded in 1080p, but is otherwise similar to most other 4K dashcams utilizing MP4 containers. Unfortunately, like many others it uses HEVC/h.264 which drastically reduces the quality of the video and the reason why it's being used is simply; it's more efficient but at the cost of lower image quality (there are a lot more involved but I'll stop here for the sake of brevity)* When a car is directly in front of the dashcam with approximately 1-2 meter away, I could see the plate with almost absolute certainty (on a clear day that is).* At around 2-3 car-lengths, it's nearly impossible to ascertain the plate to any degree of accuracy; however, you could at least begin to GUESS what the license might be.* At a distance beyond 3-4 car-lengths, well, your guess is as good as mine. All I could see is a blob of pixels that I truly doubt anyone can really get anything useful out of it.I've included a few pictures taken unmodified and directly from the original 4K video (in MP4 format produced by the dashcam); however, Amazon modified these files automatically so what you see isn't gonna be the same as what I see but I could tell you that the result is the same. The dashcam will undoubtedly provide undisputed sequence of events recorded by the dashcam; however, I believe that's really the extent of what it could provide with respect to vehicle/license plates. Of course, one could always argue it's better than nothing and I'd agree but when it comes down to the reality should something bad happens, it could be the difference between whether there is a case or not.I don't expect it to capture a license plate from 1km away but 2-3 car-lengths is a rather short distance considering what really goes on our streets nowadays. Although this is better (however slightly) than other dashcams utilizing MP4 containers encoded in 1080p, it is still WAY BELOW the video quality that I believe we all should have in 2022 and that's just sad. Under the best of circumstances the video quality is still worse than a 720p video encoded from Bluray (reasonable quality presets). The following is the media spec of the original/unmodified MP4 file produced by the dashcam, for those who are interested.Note: the "***" denotes parameters of interest.###Complete name: 20211210165720_0000030A.MP4Format: MPEG-4Format profile: Base Media / Version 2Codec ID: mp42 (isom/avc1/mp42)File size: 293 MiBDuration: 1 min 34 sOverall bit rate: 25.8 Mb/sVideoID: 1Format: HEVC ***Format/Info: High Efficiency Video CodingFormat profile: Main@L5@HighCodec ID: hvc1 ***Codec ID/Info: High Efficiency Video CodingDuration: 1 min 34 sBit rate: 25.6 Mb/sWidth: 3 840 pixelsHeight: 2 160 pixelsDisplay aspect ratio: 16:9Frame rate mode: Constant ***Frame rate: 25.000 FPS ***Color space: YUVChroma subsampling: 4:2:0Bit depth: 8 bitsBits/(Pixel*Frame): 0.123Stream size: 290 MiB (99%)Language: EnglishColor range: FullColor primaries: BT.709Transfer characteristics: BT.709Matrix coefficients: BT.709AudioID: 2Format: AAC ***Format/Info: Advanced Audio CodecFormat profile: LCCodec ID: 40Duration: 1 min 34 sBit rate mode: Constant ***Bit rate: 64.0 kb/s ***Channel(s): 1 channel ***Channel positions: Front: CSampling rate: 16.0 kHz ***Frame rate: 15.625 FPS (1024 spf)Compression mode: LossyStream size: 742 KiB (0%)Language: Englishmdhd_Duration: 94976# interior camComplete name: 20211210165720_0000031B.MP4Format: MPEG-4Format profile: Base Media / Version 2Codec ID: mp42 (isom/avc1/mp42)File size: 115 MiBDuration: 1 min 35 sOverall bit rate: 10.1 Mb/sVideoID: 1Format: AVC ***Format/Info: Advanced Video CodecFormat profile: [email protected] ***Format settings, CABAC: Yes ***Format settings, ReFrames: 1 frame ***Format settings, GOP: M=1, N=5 ***Codec ID: avc1 ***Codec ID/Info: Advanced Video CodingDuration: 1 min 35 sBit rate: 9 821 kb/sWidth: 1 920 pixelsHeight: 1 080 pixelsDisplay aspect ratio: 16:9Frame rate mode: Constant ***Frame rate: 25.000 FPS ***Color space: YUVChroma subsampling: 4:2:0Bit depth: 8 bitsScan type: ProgressiveBits/(Pixel*Frame): 0.189Stream size: 112 MiB (97%)Language: EnglishColor range: FullColor primaries: BT.709Transfer characteristics: BT.709Matrix coefficients: BT.709AudioID: 2Format: AAC ***Format/Info: Advanced Audio CodecFormat profile: LCCodec ID: 40Duration: 1 min 35 sBit rate mode: Constant ***Bit rate: 64.0 kb/s ***Channel(s): 1 channel ***Channel positions: Front: CSampling rate: 16.0 kHz ***Frame rate: 15.625 FPS (1024 spf)Compression mode: LossyStream size: 747 KiB (1%)Language: Englishmdhd_Duration: 95552###The files are stored in the following directory structure that is for the most part self-explanatory and EMR is for preventing files from being overwritten. The files have standard dated/timestamp format as seen above with AF or B appended to the filename where A is front cam and B is interior cam.Novatek├─EMR├─Movie└─PhotoIn terms of other features, it has most, if not all, of the configurable settings for both video and picture modes that other dashcams have. For video settings, it has most of the common ones as most others have as well as something most others don't have which is the GPS. Interestingly, it is part of the suction cup so that's a clear dependency right there. Other than that, it's quite similar if not the same as nearly all others (not that there are a lot of options here anyway). In short, it's got a fairly complete (but not the most) set of options with respect to configurable settings for both video and picture modes.≡ ValueAll things considered, this dashcam will allow you to capture things that have happened; however, it will NOT or at least very unlikely to provide with you sufficient details to identify vehicles (plates or what have you) with adequate certainty that you'd like to have unless they are relatively close to you (or right in front of you).It is somewhat reasonably priced at $115 (with discounts) given its overall physical build quality, video quality, and features. I've come across a few dashcams with the same video quality (both front/ interior) and nearly identical in almost all other aspects (lens, chipsets, codecs, resolutions etc) for just under $100; though, this is perhaps slightly smaller than most others so shop around if you wanna save $10-$15 bucks.

4.5 STARS. Decent unit, however there are plenty within this price range given what’s included.
Current price point at the time/date of this review: $129.99 with a $15 off coupon currently being provided by the seller at this time. This particular model checks out. Design… I’ll give it a pass. Features… a justifiable amount (GPS, HD, front/rear facing cabinet, etc..) check, Performance… check. Like I already stated, it checks out. However, I feel the pricing should be a little lower than what it is as I own a similar performing unit but it’s generally much nicer. If this dash cam were listed for about $100 or under I would consider it a pretty decent grab.Mr. Cynic: “Why does this one look so fancy and edgy? I drive a Corolla, not the Batmobile. I don’t like this edgy new design element, it makes me worry I’ll go over the speed limit having such a cool looking device planted on my windshield.”Me: “That really doesn’t make any sense at all, but if you really don’t like it, then look elsewhere.”Mr. Cynic: “I didn’t say that. Stop putting words in my mouth. I didn’t say ‘I didn’t like it’.”Me: “My apologize…”Mr. Cynic: “Apology accepted. Now, about this “rear cabin facing camera” don’t you mean the car’s INTERIOR facing camera unit. The last time I checked, most cabins don’t have wheels. Where have YOU been vacationing??”Me: “Sure, you can call it that.Mr. Cynic: “No, IT IS that. Cottages don’t have wheels my friend, and I’m really getting sick of your bantering, that’s enough. Now, I have some privacy concerns with this unit. I don’t like the idea that there is a “big brother” camera unit facing me at all times while I drive, it makes me feel uncomfortable, especially between the hours of 9pm to 12am where I have my “private sessions.” Will this camera report my driving habits and facial profile to the Chinese government? It does, doesn’t it?”Me: “What do you mean: “private sessions”? Actually nevermind, I don’t want to know. Don’t worry, the “interior” camera unit can be enabled/disabled under the preference/settings tab, and no harm done. It’s more helpful for taxi/uber drivers or people who prefer to document what’s going on inside. No need for concern. The camera unit as well as the GPS unit installed in this unit is there to -”Mr. Cynic: “This unit has GPS too?! So it’s all true!”Me: “...I’m sorry for the both of us we’re even having this discussion.”Mr. Cynic: “Who sent you??”

Decent dash cam with an inside rear view you don't have to run cables for
I wanted to include some night recording shots but Amazon reviews doesn't offer original resolution attachments so there's little point. There are a couple of reviews for this dash cam (Veement V70X) on YouTube with live day and night video. It's a nice unit with a 4K front and 1080P attached inside rear camera that the display will show as a 1/4 picture overly. One worrisome detail is the GPS is in the suction mount and when you clip it in, there are pins that connect to the unit. Don't loose or damage the unit or you'll loose GPS support. Recorded videos include the GPS coordinates once it rears from enough satellites to find a location. The front facing 4K video is better than those 1080/720 cameras and worth the upgrade over them, but you still aren't going to be able to make out license plates in the majority of cases. You will however clearly see what actually happened. Night recordings are very good but your headlights will reflect as will on coming car headlights, causing reflections (FYI, license plates are reflective!). All of this makes identifying license plates impossible most of the time. This is a common reality with dash cams, and I don't fault the V70X here. It does a good job for the price, and with an interior 1080P camera with IR lights to see in the dark. The interior view is lower resolution of course but you will record front and rear passengers, in the event something nefarious goes down, or if you get into an accident and need proof for some insurance claim.Videos are recorded to an SD card in MP4 format but you can only get 4K at 30 frames per second when the interior camera is disabled. If you record from both cameras the video is limited to 25 frames. Not a big deal if you're at intersections when something happens, but that extra 5 frames do make the video smoother and clearer.Personally I'd like to see dash cams use larger sensors. I get that they're beholden to what components are available, and phone manufacturers can afford eat up all the best parts with their high prices, but larger sensors suck up more light, and produce better images, period. A better compression codec would help, as would unique designs like dual front facing cameras that feature different lens for near/mid distance, or a wider view. For the price I like this dash cam but it's not the 4K silver bullet that some might be seeking. If you need a decent dash cam and aren't obsessed with the space, you could do much worse than this for the price.

Amazing all around dash cam that does it all!
I have been using this as my go-to dash cam since it arrived and I am over the moon with how great this dashcam works. It can be difficult looking through 1,000,000 dash cams and find out which one is right for you, and why? I trust my review will help you make a decision that you're in the right spot.PROS:- The quality of the dashcam itself is great. Its a solid unit, its well made, it feels good in the hands (Higher quality materials)- From the time I removed the dashcam from the package to the time I had all the setting figured out and recording, it was about 10-15 minutes (I went through EVERY setting and changed it to my liking)- The default settings are great, however I took the extra few minutes to dial them in, which, if you're not technologically inclined, this is VERY easy to do. The UI is incredibly user friendly, the settings page easy to navigate.- To check the video, I simple removed the dashcam from the vehicle, plugged it into my laptop, and it loaded up, no extra software or hassle, it quite literally took me 15 or so minutes to download the video I had, which leads me to my next point.- WOW! The camera quality, both front and inside view are incredible, its a clear video, its rather smooth- The night vision is crisp, its a bright black and white on the interior cam and its more than adequate to see whats happening beside and behind you whilst driving.CONS:- The camera is not quite the 30fps, it came in at 22fps which still good, just no what was advertised. I also tried a different SD card of a higher caliber to ensure it wasnt on my end.Is it worth the money? At time of this review the cost is $129, and its worth that all day. My next stop is to get a hardwiring kit so im able to use the g-sensor & parking monitor that this camera also has the ability to use, it just requires an add on.
