After that hits, there is a light undertone of a fresh, slightly herbal or citrus kind of scent.To store it, put the whole package of individually-wrapped packets into a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. This contains all the odor so it doesn't leak into your pantry foods.To use it, break off a small chunk and drop it in a hot pan with oil. Use the back of a spoon to smash the pellet so it can dissolve into the oil. Or you can pre-grind it in a small mortar and pestle if you don't mind asafetida smell in your mortar and pestle.Normally I don't review the seller in a product listing, but there is only one seller for this product, so I'll say I was happy with the way it was packaged and shipped, straight from India to my front door!
