Swing low ... Sweet Gps
Works great for holding my Magellan explorist 310 handheld gps unit but the one thing I don't like is that no matter how snug I tighten the mount, it shifts to where my gps unit is hanging facedown under my handlebars instead of on top of my handlebars where I would prefer it to be and the design seems to be such that it should be ok on top ... it just shifts as soon as I start riding just the vibration of flat but aged pavement that is in good shape with no potholes will cause the mount to shift. Aside from it hanging face down below my handlebars, I do like the mount, its a huge improvement over hanging my handheld gps unit on a lanyard around my neck and getting pummelled by it. So while this mount isn't perfect, it is still something I would buy again if I need to replace the one I have.

Bicycle Mount for eXplorist 110/310/GC
I bought this to use while geocaching by bicycle. It mounted easily. My only complaint is that the back labeled for the GC actually fits my 310 and not the other way around. I did a 10 mile caching trip without problems. The only reason I mark this down stars is because of the high cost for a couple small bits of plastic.

Nice, workable bike mount
I attached the mount to the handlebar of my Trek bike and have used it a few times as I go out geocaching along some local bike trails. So far it has worked just great to mount my Explorist GC. It seems plenty solid to hold the unit and removal is easy when I arrive at the next cache. Installation was pretty easy. I did use a pliers to pull the tie wraps tighter, which helped a lot.It isn't perfect, as it can rotate a little now and then on the bar if I am on a bumpy trail, but for the price this thing is just fine.

Thats it??!?!
Wow. Almost $30 for this? Fitted for eXplorist GC or eXplorist. Hey Magellan how about knocking $15 off since this kit includes parts that I don't need? 5 stars for fit. 1 star for value. Zip ties, a piece of rubber, and a mount. Nice :-(

Very Useful!
As a fanatical (my wife's term) geocacher I just had to have a way of mounting my Magellan to the handle bars of my bicycle. This mount attaches quickly, and fits snug enough to keep its position, but if I need to move it rotates easily. I does hold the GPS firmly and the only time it was ejected from the mount was when I had a rather high speed spill on a dirt trail. It was well worth the money!!

Does exactly what it is supposed, just make sure you pull the zip ties tight to prevent swiveling. Pricey for what it is.

Poor Design Equals Poor Performance
This handlebar mount does not hold the Magellan Toughcase securely enough to your handlebars. On two occasions riding on not extremely rough pavement my Toughcase detached and went flying and bouncing along the roadway. Luckily for me it bounced behind me and was not run over by a car. Its too bad because the Toughcase is great but without a way to confidently attach it to my road bike I am not sure I can use it.

Magellan eXplorist Handlebar Mount
Easy to install and adjust. It seems to be very durable and well built. Nice companion to the Magellan eXplorist 310 GPS unit.

Pretty decent mount. Easy to setup.
It seems to work as advertised, at least for the setup. I have this attached to my WR250F bars and mount the Explorist 310 E to it. Setup took less than 5 minutes with a slight addition or two based on previous reviews.First off, the GPS slides down and held in place by a plastic guide. It seems sturdy but after 3 hours riding on trails, rocks and hills, it wouldn't surprise me if I look down and no longer see a GPS. I attached another zip tie along the bottom (white zip tie in picture) of my explorist and rapped it around the bar. This way if it does lift up and off the mount, it will (hopefully) still be hanging on to the bar by the ziptie. Downside to this is each time I want to remove the gps (battery change etc). I have to cut a zip tie. Though I'd rather sacrifice a .20 cent ziptie vs a 200 dollar gps.Secondly, I read that the mount itself can slide round a bit on bars. The mount is plastic with a soft pad on the back of it and another soft pad that the zip ties slip through (this is the smaller black piece in the amazon picture, it is not actually plastic but feels like rubber). To hopefully reduce the chance of the entire mount sliding around the aluminum handle bars, I wrapped a bit of duct tape on the bars (2 or 3 loops) first. Then I attached the mount and tightened the zipties. My thinking on this is that the zipties compress into the duct tape (vs a metal bar) and hopefully don't slide.Overall I am pretty happy with it. I haven't actually had it out yet to see how it holds up and realize if I wad my bike or my helmet smashes into it that it will be game over for the mount. I really just don't want it to shake off and now don't think it will. Could they have made it more durable? of course and price too would go up. Time will tell.Edit: I had it out for a 3 hour ride over rocks, stumps, up hills, through rivers and two crashes. It held up great and only shifted a minor bit after I hit a tree.

Works as expected. The only complaint I have is because it is held on to the handlebar with zip ties, it can't be tightened enough to prevent it from slipping over time, especially on bumpy terrain.

Good product.
I haven't used this on my dirt bike yet as it is Winter, but I look forward to it. I believe this will work perfectly.
