Color:1 Year Updates The eBlocker is a smart device that is connected to your home network / smart home. It anonymizes your online behavior and prevents data collection without your consent. Online providers track your surfing behavior across all devices and on every website you visit. This data is compiled into detailed personality profiles, which not only affect your privacy, but also includes very intimate details about you. Information about your political view, your religious belief, your income or your health status are completely revealed: eBlocker puts an end to all of this. The smart device is compatible with every Internet provider and supports all operation systems and browsers. It protects all your network devices at once – smartphone, tablet, PC, Mac, smart TV, games console or your smartwatch. This sets eBlocker apart from traditional browser plugins and tools against trackers and ads. Thanks to its Plug & Play function with automatic operation, eBlocker is specifically designed for non-technical users. Simply connect it to your home network, turn it on and your privacy is protected instantly. Directly connected to the router, the device doesn’t collect any data of its own and doesn’t use any cloud-functions either. With intelligent pattern recognition, eBlocker analyzes the Internet traffic completely autonomous and thanks to its daily refreshed filter lists, stays up to date.

Seems to do what it says for blocking tracking and ads, but more info on exactly what it is doing behind the scenes would help. It works invisibly. It does slow website loading noticeably, though...disconcerting but not a deal-breaker. Still a new product. Would be helpful to include a manual and email notifications of what changes are made with each software update.

Device works well. Doesn't seem to want to catch everything--be nice if there was a way to tell it to block certain ads, I had to disable the SSL feature as it caused some sites to not to load. Hopefully the next software update will fix some of these.

Not a tool for a novice
When it works it blocks a lot of adds and trackers but it does not play very well with ioS (ended up turning it off for my iPad). Even in IE you frequently have to pause it to make web sites work. I bought the life time subscription and would suggest a one year to see if it works for you - still a work in process but works well when it works. Not a tool for a novice.

Not worth the money. Like some other reviews it works on some websites but does not work well with Google Chrome.Works best when using IE but more than 80% of the time if you click on a link on a web page the web page does not download.Constantly having to pause the eblocker so I can work on my computer. I cannot recommend this product.

Don't waste your money. Nothing more than an ad-blocker for way too much money!

Not Ready for Prime Time!
I've been using this off and on for the last couple of months, waiting until it got the latest 2.x (?) software update which substantially changed the interface and did seem to work out the kinks somewhat. In general, it works maybe 75% of the time now. But it causes too much of an irritating slowdown on your internet. I will probably not be using it and instead turning it on every few months to check major software updates and see if it improves to the point of being usable. On the slowdown, it does not necessarily slow your actual download or upload speed greatly. Instead, as traffic is routed thru it the Eblocker causes things to pause or hiccup at the beginning of surfing to a new webpage. Then on other webpages, they just break and you have to hit refresh to make the page appear correctly. Or on other webpages, you have to whitelist to try and make them work and even then it can still create issues. It also does not really work as a true router based solution. The main interface is thru your main computer for example - and on that computer, such a device is questionable since thru Chrome, I can use Adblock or other adblocking extensions and they all work as well if not far better than the Eblocker. So then on your tablet or cell phone connected to your wi-fi, it doesn't block ads. There is some mobile setup option which would allow you to create a type of VPN to connect such devices to the Eblocker, but that is also somewhat redundant since on Android I can use an app service such as AdGuard, which also creates a VPN to block ads. So the entire thing is really not plug and play as it should be.In summary, if you have a high power computer and blistering fast ethernet (100mbs +), then you could try this and probably not notice a lot of slowdowns (except when it breaks a site). BTW, customer service is generally quite good, but for those in the USA there is a lag as they are based in Germany (for me that meant a 24 hour lag to get a response). So overall, 2 stars for the device, 1 star for good customer service, but I can't really recommend this product except for those who don't mind tinkering with electronics and trying new stuff out.

DO NOT BUY - COMPANY is no longer in business - no updates
I have one of these and it's still working fine since the last update but there are NO MORE UPDATES so it's quickly becoming less relevant and less helpful. Any internet security solution MUST UPDATE CONSTANTLY. If you do not have a solution in place, you should get one. But I strongly recommend against spending any money on an eBlocker box if you are not someone who knows how to use this hardware without the support of a company. I personally met with the founder and his team and was very impressed with their product. I bought it on site when it was a brand new product and was incredibly happy with the product and their support. Sadly, the company closed and now it is time to move on to a different solution.

Some Really Bad News For You Guys. The Company Went Bankcrupt.
The product was ok. It was sort of in its beta stage. It worked for some people; it glitched for a lot of other people. It was a very interesting concept though. But, it was quite expensive. And, although it might provide better privacy than a VPN, do you need that much privacy? For example, all your searches become unpersonalized and you then get mediocre results (the search results don't relate to your local location, your interests, etc.)In any case, the eBlocker company went bankcrupt. You'll find this news right away when you search for eBlocker on any search engine.
