Lid for Wide Mouth Sport Water Bottle, Fit Hydro Flask, Simple Modren, Replacement Stainless Steel Flat Cap

I’m obsessed with the old style Hydroflask lid for my 40oz Hydroflask bottle. Unfortunately, it would break all the time and leak. And it was discontinued. But I can’t stand fully removing the lid; I need the piece that keeps it together.In any case, this lid is awesome. Way better version than HydroFlask.

It does what it says! Fits my 32oz steel bottle perfectly and bypasses the straw.

Looks good with my stainless steel 48oz Hydro Flask. Plastic interior, but the stainless steel shell ought to stop it from breaking on impact like the lid it's replacing. Good fit with no leaks.The lid shares space with a JugLug handle on the neck. Like the JugLug, I had to submerge the plastic in boiling water for about a minute to get it to stretch over the neck. Not a big deal, and the final fit is very secure.The main flaw is that it can be very difficult to grip, especially compared to the stock lid. I like to be able to open and close it quickly and easily. I solved this problem by stretching the rubber grip band from the original lid around the new one. Works well this way. If I had to use it unmodified, though, it's bad enough that I'd probably look for a different lid.

The upside is it does fit the 40oz wide mouth.Unfortunately after that there isn't much good to say about it. The metal spins in place often, as it is not sealed or glued to the plastic on the inside, making it very difficult to get the water bottle open. I purchased these, because after about a year the plastic retaining strap that holds the lid to the bottle on my flask broke. I use it daily, and wasn't really surprised, it happens to all of them. However these lids, the plastic broke within a couple of weeks. I'm not really a fan of the straw top that comes with Hydrocell, however I am using them now, as I'm not spending more money for these. I just purchased some more hydrocell's and they have a new cap, with a softer rubber like piece that replaces the hard plastic. I'm going to reach out to them and see if I can get replacements directly from them.

It fits perfectly. No leaks. The plastic ring is sturdy enough for me to carry it around.

The original plastic caps leak and are not dishwasher safe when on heat dry. These caps are heavy gauge metal and don't leak.

I bought this for my 40oz Hydroflask. Looks great, but fits a little too loosely. It pops off if dropped at the wrong angle. The plastic ring that keeps it attached to the bottle is starting to tear after 3ish months.

The media could not be loaded. Very good, fits perfect in my bottle.
