Dell Active Pen (PN557W)

This is a nice pen with good palm press control, something I need most. My other pen was a little nice but double the price. For this price and this precision and accuracy, it's a great purchase! I would still buy this than the other pen simply because I don't care about the advanced features. I just want a nice, precise pen I can use on my touchscreen easily.

I had many questions before buying this pen, but I bought it anyway (on sale), and I can say that it does everything I needed it to do well! It works with Dell XPS 15" 9570! Even though the Dell brochure doesn't say it, I can use it perfectly fine on my Dell XPS 9570. There is no jitter at all when you are writing, as some people have experienced with some styluses. The traces are very accurate and precise. It takes a single replaceable AAAA battery for its main functionality, so you cannot charge it directly, but you can buy AAAA batteries that are rechargeable if you would like. It comes with a non-rechargable battery in the box. It also takes two coin cells for the Bluetooth button functionality, but you DON'T NEED the coin cells if you just want the writing functionality and don't need the Bluetooth button. Two coin cells come with the box. It seems like the tip is replaceable, but no replacement tips come with the box, only the one that is attached to the pen. I've had some of these questions but hopefully this review helps answer them for you!

Doesn't work. Waste of time and money. The Bluetooth connects for a jiffy and immediately disconnects

The hardware feels sturdy, made of quality materials, and has the perfect weight for my larger hands. Great value for the money, definitely pick up if youre looking for a solid Bluetooth pen. Reason I'm not giving 5 stars is it is not super beginner friendly to set up, but I can over look that. Also it is not compatible with the art program I like to use, paintdotnet. Otherwise solid product.

I received this pen before my laptop arrived (purchased separately.) This was a little confusing, as the instructions that come with the pen are useless. I watched the video on the Dell support site and was able to get clear instructions. The pen works great for my purposes, but that does not include much in the way of photoshop, artwork, or heavy use.

I was gifted with a Dell 5300 2 in 1 and had used it with my finger on the screen for about three months before understanding that I can use a stylus on it. That was when I also found out that the Dell supported an active stylus. So I bought this one. It is battery powered, but the batteries appear to last more than a year, inculding the very small button cell in the cap. The pen/stylus is easy to set up and once you understand what drawing software it supports, away you go. I have been using Krita for my sketches, but the pen can be used with many other packages as well.

I saw some reviews before buying this that made me skeptical, but went for it at the price. For me: -it came with batteries -it easily connected to my laptop -I've been using it for over 2 months on a daily basis and the batteries haven't died -It is the perfect weight and thickness The programmable buttons are awesome - I love it and use them daily. I've recommended it to three colleagues who also bought it and use it often now with no complaints. I will continue to recommend this pen.

Unfortunately my stylus defected and incompatible with my laptop, but luckily I was able to find a solution, they were great in helping me figure out my next steps. But the packaging was great, and it came with everything I needed. They had generally great customer service!

Product arrived on time and it was in perfect condition and it works exactly as described. Great purchase, I use it a lit!

It’s the second 557pen I got, lost the first one and got other stylus that are not as compatible as this one before. Although there’re some negative comment about this one on Dell website so far it worked really well for me to do any kind of paperless writing or sketching work.

Je ne suis pas franchement convaincu de ce stylet, je m'explique : Il bouffe les piles à une vitesse même quand il n'est pas utilisé (plus précisément la pile principale servant à la partie écriture (non Bluetooth qui est alimenté par deux petites piles boutons qui elles durent longtemps). Second problème, la mine que je trouve trop plastique pour écrire, ça manque d'adhérence ou de pouvoir la remplacer par une autre comme sur les stylets n-trig des surface pro. En clair, je vais peut-être acheter un autre stylet compatible Wacom AES qui est la technologie utilisée par ce stylet, et mon hybride Dell 5285.

Funciona perfectamente, y es un accesorio ideal para nuestro portátil.
