It made an impossible job possible
I couldn't locate the break in my lawnmower boundary wire, after hours of visual inspections. With this tool I managed to do it in 15 minutes.

Works just as described
I hardly ever leave a review and I was a bit sceptical of the device. I have a buried lawnmower cable about 10cm deep and 100m in length. Previously I had to pull up each junction, break it and test it to see if that part made a circuit. It was a pain, time consuming and required quite a few rejoins.I tried this device, I earthed the black cable as it seemed it was required (big metal ruler shoved in the ground). Then I tested it and it was quite sensitive, picking up the buried cable from a foot away. I thought it may be too sensitive and picking up everything. However I slowly walked around the perimiter and within 2 mins I heard a huge change in volume. I walked on and silence. 30 secs later I had found the cut cable. Waterproof connected the broken cable and the circuit was intact. All in 5 min task. Love it and sensitive enough even if the cable buried quite deep.

Tracing cables in ceiling
Used this to trace cables through ceilings. Attached red cable clip to find general area. then added the black clip to the earth wire to get a more precise location of where cable was just above plasterboard.

Fantastic tool
Used it to find a partial break in a robot mower boundary wire. Attached to one end of the boundary wire at the base station and walked the perimeter until the signal got weaker. Was able to pinpoint the partial break within a few mins. Would never have found it otherwise

Excellent, found the fault.
Used to find a break in an automower cable, worked much better than a previous device which had failed.

Underground Cable Locater
The media could not be loaded. Delivered inside its own branded box .Inside the box there is a canvas pouch which holds all of the pieces . You get 1 receiver this has crocodile clips , 1 transmitter . A set of earphones , a screwdriver and 9V battery along with an instruction manual .The transmitter and receiver are made from a plastic material and both have led light metres on them .The transmitter works at a distance of 2000 metres at a depth of 2 foot , this is where the earphones come in , they deliver a single beep tone when the wiring is detected .I ordered this for my son who is currently renovating a period property and it's garden hopefully finding the underground wiring himself will save him some time and moneyIt's well priced and will no doubt have a number of uses . On initial impressions I'm happy to recommend.

Works great (but not for finding my worx boundary wire break)
The instructions aren't entirely clear as some other reviewers have pointed out, but it's not overly complicated.First, turn on the Listener (the unit with the dangling antenna) and see if you pick up any noise when near your wire. It should be silent, otherwise there may be interference that affects the next steps. (Note, I could pick up some static from my lawnmowers base station... Unplugging the boundary wire eliminated that)Second, connect the red clip of the transmitter unit to the end of the wire, and the black clip to something metal you can stick in the ground (I used an 8" screwdriver, not sure if it has to be that long).Turn on the transmitter, then push the find button (magnifying glass icon). Now a signal is being sent along your wire, which you should be able to easily pick up with the receiver unit. It sounds like a toy police car ("wee-ooo-wee-ooo"). Very obvious. You should easily be able to trace the underground wire/metal/conductor by waving the antenna around to find the noise. This was definitely true for my lawnmower guide wire that was buried up to 3 inches. If at any point you lose the noise, your break is nearby (maybe not right there, but within a foot or two. Digging up the wire should be easy, since you know where it is (be safe if it's buried deep!)This worked for one of my wire breaks (when I dug up the wire it was clear there was a clean break), but not the other. But the second break was likely an incomplete break (I couldn't feel it or see it... But a multimeter confirmed a high resistance segment). I suspect the transmitter is a little too powerful for my use case, and overcame the partial break.Still, this device did a great job locating my wire and one break, so worth the cost!

Risolto rottura cavo interrato tosa erba
