On the outlsid, it's the shiny, reflective silver that I personally like. On the inside its a matte finish of cloth (I think). It's at least 1/4" thick. I've only used it to reflect heat, but around Jan & Feb I'm sure I'll reverse it. I live in Orlando, FL. The fit is as close as I hoped. It has about a 1/2" of space on the outer edges, but the black border of the windshield is about 3/4", so it isolates the cabin entirely. The fit around the rear view mirror has a little more of a space. But it's necessary to get around the equipment packed up there.Also, it's rigid where it should be and folds together easy enough. I really liked the fact that this shield came with a very nice leather? case. Other makers want $10 for one.Unless you really don't like the shiny silver reflector mat'l, I highly recommend this heat shield.

This sun shade fits very well in the 2011 Grand Cherokee, pretty heavy duty, can’t say it keeps the inside considerably cooler like it advertises, but it definitely keeps the sun off the front interior 95% with a small gap at the review mirror. Would recommend this to anyone looking to keep their interior from fading.

Perfect fit for my '15 WK2 Overland, keeps the interior noticeably cooler when parked outside in the sun and protects the beautiful Indigo Blue and Jeep Brown leather interior from the UV rays. I appreciate the sturdy construction that keeps it from sagging or bending.It comes with a pleather storage bag, but truth be told I find myself never using it, but it's a nice bonus if you want to keep it stored somewhere without it flopping open.

I like this sunshade. It fits my 2011 Jeep GC Overland perfectly and keeps the sun off the dash and the interior cooler. On the negative side, though, it takes up a lot of room inside the Jeep. It is basically a piece of foldable, shaped cardboard covered with foam that has a silver reflective material on one side and a soft dark gray fabric on the other. Since the window in the Jeep GC is so long (ceiling to dash) the sunshade is also rather long, even in its case.PROS: fits, does the job of keeping the sun off the dash and the car cooler, has a nice case to put it in when not being used.CONS: a bit bulky for storing in the car's backseat (fine if you want to put it in the cargo area, though)I would recommend it solely because it does look really nice and works well at what it is designed to do.

Just installed this in my wife's brand new 2014 Grand Cherokee Limited and she loves it. You can tell a huge difference when parking in the sun when using it and not using it (even when she was incorrectly putting the reflective side to the inside of the car until I showed her, LOL). Her's has the big sensor under the rear view mirror and this has a cutout that fits it perfectly. The sides fit right to the edge of the windshield so there are no gaps. The thickness and quality is what you will notice first. It doesn't even compare to the cardboard ones from the discount stores. Don't waste your money on the cheaper ones. This is well worth the money!

Fits perfectly into jeeps windshield with little effort and stays in place. To install simply unfold sunscreen and place in windshield foil part facing out. Fold both sun visors down to lock it in place and your done. The sunscreen is solid so it does not sag or fall down like other sunscreens. It also comes with a bag to protect your windshield sunscreen. It may be more expensive than other sunscreens but I believe it worth the investment.

I just received this sunshade for my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. After trying it out, it really does fit like a glove! It is very well made, and folds away quickly into its own storage bag. Very handy, indeed! It's a little pricier than most, but I believe this will last me for many years!

The product is okay I guess. I thought for the price I had to pay that it would be more sturdy. I would not purchase another one for this price.
