DOES NOT ADHERE TO PAINTED SURFACES, *BUT*
2 years later: I have upgraded my review to 4 stars. They have not budged from the place I put them on the glass door after 2 years of cleaning the door. No, they do not stick to walls. At all. They will peel off within a few hours. Yes, they are only about 2”x2” and I’m not sure where the seller got the other measurements. But if you buy them understanding they are not intended for anything but glass or mirrors, and their size, they are awesome. Will NOT adhere to a painted surface, clean or dirty. i cleaned the wall with rubbing alcohol before applying, let it dry thoroughly. They absolutely will not stick to anything painted. They are only suitable for glass or mirror; something totally smooth. After I got sick of sticking them back down many times per day, I put them on the glass door where they work just fine. However, they might be too removable for little kids. They do peel off very easily. If you were planning on using the butterflies or other decals for a phone or coffee cup as shown, prepare to be disappointed.
