Learn to effectively manage all supply chain activities with Wisner/Tan/Leong's PRINCIPLES OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT: A BALANCED APPROACH, 6E. This unique text discusses supply management from four perspectives: purchasing, operations, logistics and process integration. This balanced approach varies significantly from other books that concentrate on only one area. Updates and new references highlight recent events, including supply chain challenges during the global pandemic. This edition follows the natural flow through the supply chain of trading partners as you examine how supply chain management impacts all areas and processes of the firm. You learn to address real concerns in both domestic and global supply chains as well-organized chapters demonstrate the practical applications of supply chain management in today's workplace. Updated profiles and interesting business examples demonstrate practices at work. MindTap digital resources are available to assist in mastering concepts.

Got me through college class at a fraction of the price
This was a required textbook for my fall 2025 class. It is easy to read and is full of applicable case studies and examples. In the supply chain world - this is learning it in the "balanced approach". Getting this book on Amazon saved me $200 and I'm not kidding about that! An excellent value for something that is being sold for college students at a much higher price!

The book is fine. It’s is accurate however after buying I’m told it is not used in the US. I didn’t see that called out but not here to blame anyone… the book was correct.

Not what I expected
Textbook information not consistent with subject matter for course or exam material. I used the notes provided by the class to complete homework and exams. A waste of money.

As a 18 year SCM professional, don't get this book.
It's obvious the people that wrote this book didn't stress the actual importance of supply chain management. Extremely disappointed in this academic book. I am a CSCP CPSM and CPSD and I find this book probably the bottom of the pile.Don't waste your time on this book Actually go for other ones that provide not only accuracy but stress what's actually important in SCM.
