Algebra and Trigonometry (5th Edition)

If you have ever used other math books or you're not a math person, you will be happy with Blitzer math textbooks. Out of all the math books I've used, Blitzer's tend to be the best. They are clear, concise, and show plenty of examples, which is something students tend to want above all else in a math book. Many textbooks tend to show only one or two examples per section or task. Blitzer's books show many. This book will do you justice if you're required to have it for a college algebra and/or trigonometry class.Please note that this package COMES WITH MYMATHLAB, as stated above. Do NOT buy it separately if you buy this product; the code comes with this. Amazon is offering another version that is just the textbook. DO NOT BUY THAT if you need MML. Currently, if your professor requires MML, this product is the best option. Do not buy the textbook and MML separately, unless you can get a used book for cheap (ie under 120ish), because it will not be worth it.

I am learning a lot from this book, though I'm getting my information first from the "MyMathLab" student access website first, then using the book when I don't clearly understand something I saw in the app.My only complaint is that the looseleaf version of the book is awkward to keep in pristine condition, because there are so many pages. Even when I put one chapter into a separate three-ring binder, some of the pages bend near the rings. I guess I need some of those curved plastic protectors I vaguely remember from my youth.

This book was about 30-40 cheaper than offered on my university's website, it is expensive but needed for a course. I looked for this book on other websites and Amazon provided the best deal. I am in still in the class but this book is doing its purpose.

This book was a great value and in like new condition.

Bought this to use w/ WGU's pre-calculus/trigonometry course. It works well, but I still need to watch Youtube videos for some extra help.

It's a textbook...Like all textbooks, it is overpriced for what it contains.Did the author invest extra time and effort to make it worth what the publisher rapes you for? He tried.My instructor did ALL of his lectures WITHOUT the book.... so other than an easy source of practice problems, why did I even need this book?

we purchased this book for my son school back August last year. When he moved forward to new chapters, he realized this book has wrong chapter pages/orders, which made him wrong assignment in classes, and reduced GPA. Unfortunately, it was not found when we received the book, and the seller (ever green) indicated it is over 30 days returning policy to reject even a replacement, despite the assumption that the book is no defects. We just cannot use it now. Be caution of purchasing this book and advisable to pursue other resources.
