Painfully slow due to the OS using most of the limited RAM.
The Ulefone Note 7 is advertised as having 1GB of RAM. However, what you need to bear in mind is that the basic running of the OS and phone features takes up almost 700MB of that one gig, leaving you with 320-400MB at best. This is confirmed on the optimiser when you kill all of the background processes and it displays the available RAM [320MB last time].This means that running any app is extremely slow. For example, I had a social media app running on it and nothing else in the background and it took forever to do anything. Everything is so slow and painful with this device and that includes typing or swiping. When the keyboard loads and you begin swiping, there is so much lag that the first two words are often not registered despite the visible track lines across keyboard. It's well build and sturdy, but the RAM is so insufficient that you cannot do anything really, without experiencing severe lag, it's a frustrating chore to use. Everything was updated to the latest versions etc.I made a few calls before deciding to return it. On every call I could barely hear the other person despite the volume being at max, the earpiece is very poor indeed. On one call the other person couldn't hear me at all, so the microphone is hit and miss also.Overall a very poor device. It's a great price, but it doesn't actually work and it is inferior to so many budget models, so it's not worth even that price to be fair, because it's like trying to run Facebook and a Nokia 3310. Unfortunately I had to return it as I couldn't run even a single app without severe lag, checking Facebook went from two minutes to twenty. The battery life is a little lower than that of competitors and it does drain a little quicker.

Bought for an 85 year old...
I bought this phone for my 85yr old grandmother.Set up was very easy. She's managed to easily get the hang of calling, finding contacts and sending messages. I downloaded WhatsApp for her and she's now mastering this to keep in touch with family abroad. The phone is anything you would expect from a midrange smart android. It's not as super fast as my own Xperia but for her use it's absolutely perfect. Haven't bothered with the facial recognition. The camera takes decent photos. I loved that it came with a case and a screen protector. The back panel is easily removed (instructions are stickered on the back how) to get a nano sim in. It accepted without issue a Plusnet network. Battery seems to last the day. My only gripe is the Google search bar that can't be removed from the main screen thus I took a star off. It seems petty but that should be standard to move or remove. Also, when you have a message or missed called it is only displayed as a notification, which then dissappears only to be found by swiping down. You don't have a little number displayed on the app button to remind or show you've missed anything. Again not a biggie just explained to my grandmother to swipe down and check regularly, but she keeps knocking the Google search bar and thus the annoyance.Absolutely great for the price though.

Perfect replacement phone for use with Contract SIM
Felt great to hold. Easy to follow instructions. Looks like an expensive phone. Great having screen protector and phone case with it. Beautiful graphics and screen. Bought as a replacement for my son who is fussy but he was happy with it. Came fully charged and once I put the contract SIM card in it worked. I had been worried it wouldn't work with a contract SIM. I loved it and my partner was amazed how good it looked. I love it and definitely value for money. The only thing that it didn't come with was earphones but luckily my son still had his old ones, so not a big issue. I didn't trial facial recognition as the phone wasn't for me and can't comment on battery life as not using it but I haven't heard anything negative back from my son

If looking for cheap as chips
This mobile phone justifies its existence perfectly by one fact: it costs a fraction of what the famous big brands charge for their devices.Surely, it's not a "flagship" or "state of the art" phone with all the bells and whistles, and you won't buy this phone to keep up with the Joneses, but if you have a 2nd SIM card or plan to go out drinking and don't want to bring your expensive tool, you found with the Ulefone Note 7 a cheap workhorse. The Ulefone Note 7 has facial recognition unlock, but it does not always recognize me when shit-faced, so I prefer the PIN unlock; also, the phone is not as responsive or fast like the Galaxy Note 7 was.The installed Google apps are all "Go" (Lite) versions and this means it's very basic for web surfing, emails and so on. While the phone is definitely not to keep your teenager happy, as it really sucks with games - it is hard to beat as cheap car-phone (for navigation and hotspot).

Rubbish
I was hoping for a better quality phone than my last but am very sadly disappointed I have had cheaper mobiles but non as bad as this, I am very disappointed by the quality all round I would be honest to say it is bad all round, colour, sound quality, the blank spots on the key pad when texting I know the phone is cheap but it's 2022 and do expect better

Not worth buying
Absoulotly wish I never got this phone. This is an awful phone it even feels awful and is just below basic in every way. I can not even hear people when they call me. Many apps stop responding and the screen freezes although the picture is good. The camara is really awful but even basic functions are hard to use or just stop working completely. You are much much better off paying the extra for a Samsung honestly. I know this phone is very cheap but it really is not worth it such a rip off sorry to say.
