Unbelievable (in a very good way)
All I can say is WOW. What a great ring. I built an E-bike recently and was using a basic single front ring with very frequent chain drops. Not many things more annoying (or dangerous) than to be losing your chain at very inopportune moments. I did manage to fix that issue with a bolt-on chain keeper but decided to increase my ring size a bit to add some speed to my rig. I discovered this ring on Amazon and ordered the 42-tooth size. One of the best bike gear decisions I have ever made as it turns out. This ring is super well made, beefy and nicely machined. The shark tooth feature along with the narrow/wide tooth configuration makes my chain stick like a cockleburr - no chain drops now at all even after removing the chain keeper and TRYING to drop the chain with quick shifts all across the rear cassette. As nice is this ring is all I can say is those other manufacturers have to be committing robbery by charging prices 3,4,5 times as much as this. This is a superb ring made right here in the USA at an incredible price point. You have to be nuts or brainwashed to buy the other brands at Lamborghini prices when you get a stellar ring like this at a real bargain price. I am 100% pleased and actually bought a second identical ring just to have an extra because my experience has been superb gear like this does not usually stay bargain priced forever.

Bolt-on chainring for 1x conversion
Used this chainring for a 1x10 conversion on a Marin Cortina gravel bike. Need some shorter chainring bolts compared to the ones that were in it that were for double chainrings, but I made due for now with spacers. The narrow/wide tooth configuration keeps the chain from dropping in the highest/lowest rear sprockets. On the stand the chain seemed to be at an extreme angle, but when riding, the additional load smoothed it out. 50 mile maiden voyage with no problems. I'll buy more of these chainrings for any future 1x conversions. American made, excellent fit and finish.

Sturdy and well built for big guys!
The media could not be loaded. To the point:• This chainwheel is very well built, and you can feel the sturdiness.• For a 270 lbs man, this chainwheel did an excellent job on the first trip, which was miles.• I was able to stand up and put some force on it, and it did the job with ease.• I installed it on a crank from Amazon that is out of China, and it fit perfectly! (Might want to put it on the inside lip so it lines up midway with the cassette, depending on the crank you get.)• The shark teeth idea is great! And it definitely fits nice on my 3/36 chain. I wound it in reverse and the chain stayed on.• It looks great as well, as you can see.• I would certainly recommend this chainshweel. I went from the 3xGear Chainwheel that came with the bike to this single one, and I am literally wanting to ride this bike every day now! Feels good, smooth ride!* Disclaimer. The noise in the video is my back wheel rubbing against the brakes."

Chainring is not compatible with shimano half link
Overall the chainring is well made and seems quite durable (and heavy), but I was not aware that the narrow-wide tooth configuration was not compatible with shimano half links since the narrow-wide scheme works by only allowing the narrow links to set on alternating teeth. Since the half link creates two narrow links in a row the half link part of the chain will not sit on the chainring. I use the half link on my fixed gear to push the rear axle all the way to the back to increase tire clearance and allow me to run up to 30mm tires in both my 16t and 19t rear cogs. Without the half link the chain is either too long to tighten properly or too short to run the 19t rear cog. I ordered the 44 tooth chainring to replace the 48 tooth that came on my kilo tt, and with the new chainring on I removed one regular chain length to arrive at the same rear axle position. Using this logic I am going to return the product for a 42 tooth chainring and hope that this will take off a half link length of chain and allow me to remove my shimano half link and have the same position! I will update my review when I have tried this solution. (Original rating 3 stars)Edit: The new chainring fixed my problem! As expected it took off about a half link and puts my axle all the way back to maximize the clearance. I also like the gear ratio better with the 42t ring (2.63 vs 2.75) because my cadence is more appropriate for the speeds I ride at. My updated rating is 4 stars only because of the half link issue, but I would easily buy this again because the value is incredible and the quality is high. I also recommend getting chainring bolts that use hex keys on both sides as they are much easier to install/remove. My old bolts were seized and the special tool needed to remove them made the removal very challenging. Good luck!

Lightweight, great design, great price.
Wow. For the money, you simply cannot beat this chainring. I used it to replace the 44t chainring that came installed on a dolphin1986 110mm crankset, available elsewhere on Amazon. The chainring on that crankset is aluminum, and I thought it was pretty light. But this Sharktooth chainring, THIS baby is LIGHT. Prob shaved a half-a-pound of weight off my front crankset just by installing this product, easy. The narrow-wide "sharktooth" design looks like it will keep the chain locked down tight without needing a chainkeeper. Looks great too, much better than the plain "stamped metal" look most 1x cranksets have, like the dolphin1986 or Retrospec.

Worked on my cobra pro
Put this on my otherwise bone stock cobra pro. Was able to reuse the original chain guard as well and now I have a little better hill climbing ability. Reusing the oem spacers on the oem chain guard was kind of a pain though. It's all been working great and this chainring is quite a bit lighter too.
