Really good lathe for small hobby work. Worked great right out of the box. I use mine on aluminum and brass rod. So far has worked better than expected just remember it's only as good as you are skilled and it is somewhat low power unit so take off small amount of material in a pass. I have machined 3/4" rod with no problems. Great fun learning tool.
