Worth the high price
I bough several of the VIVO desk riser, and while OK, I wasn't thrilled with it. For my personal use, I wanted to see if the $200 extra is worth it for me to buy this Versadesk....luckily I bought a good as new used desk for $150. I hope to make a fair comparison since not many reviewers here have owned the cheaper risers and the versa desk. What I like:1. Very good packaging. Very easy assembly. Just 4 thumb screws. No tools needed2. Thick material...about 50% thicker than the VIVO.3. Better material...surface is glossy and high quality. Switches are high quality. With the VIVO you get basic MDF surface that has the finish of a cheap closet shelf4. Much sturdier. Perhaps unfair b/c this is a motorized unit. But it feels and looks much sturdier. What I don't like: though the keyboard tray is sturdier than the VIVO...there's still some flex. The weakness here is that the brackets holding the keyboard is just bent steel. For the price, please reinforce it. I hate bouncy keyboard trays.Summary: when deciding between a $100 and $350 riser, the more expensive Versadesk is obviously much better built, much sturdier. It's also much heavier. Get the VIVO if you are on a budget. It's not as good but works fine. Get the VIVO if you want to save 20lbs of weight. Some of our counters have a hard time handling the versa desk with 2 monitors, etc. Get the VIVO if you don't want another power plug. Get the VIVO if you want rapid up/down adjustment. The motor on the Versadesk is smooth and quiet...but not as fast as manual risers. But for me and for most, you'll the quality of the Versadesk much more reasuring, especially when you have it right next to the VIVO. It's much better, much sturdier. And it's American designed and made :)

Be aware if you are looking to mount your arms for your monitors.
I searched for a very long time to find the perfect riser. When I started to work from home years ago my company supplied us with Rocelco 37.5" Deluxe Height Adjustable Standing Desk Converter - Quick Sit Stand Up Dual Monitor Riser - Gas Spring Assist Computer Workstation which worked great until I moved on to two very large 32" curved monitors and the mounted arms. At that point, the riser would not go up and down due to weight.I enjoy standing for most of my day as opposed to sitting and the search was on. I was going to buy a new desk that adjusted but really love my L shape desk and did not want to part with it so I started to do my research on risers. Finally I came across the VERSADESK riser. While reading, it was noted it will hold 80lbs which I felt was sufficient for the weight of my monitors and the mounted arms.Unpacking the riser was very easy, and actually the VERSA was lighter than my previous Rocelco. It was basically assembled and ready to use.In the picture, you will see the silver plate that is going across the back. This is where the dilemma comes in for mounting your monitors if you have a similar arm mount. When looking at VERSA I saw the third picture in the advertisement showing a mounted arm monitor holder and assumed I too could mimic this. The down side of this is, I cannot lower the riser all the way down, which makes it higher than desired when sitting because the screws hit (see photo)I assume my monitors are under the 80lbs but the riser does shake a bit going up, so I am hoping it will withhold the weight. If it does handle the weight and lasts for many years to come, FOR now I think I can live with the height when sitting because the benefit of standing is more important to me. I am not sure if the long term affect of not being ergonomically correct will have repercussions.I suppose if you have a taller chair or you are a tall person, this would not be an issue for you. But my chair is as tall as it gets in that photo and height is not on my side (5'3 on a good day LOL)

FANTABULOUS! A RISER THAT A PETITE WOMEN CAN USE WITH NO ISSUES!!!!
This is a solid built Powered Desktop Riser! I bought this to replace a desktop riser that had a manual mechanism which was way to heavy to lift day in and day out. If you have a back back, a petite woman or person with very little arm strength then this is the best solution! The 36" riser fits 2 32" monitors with zero issues. I bought it in white. It is a really beautiful, clean and sleek looking. So solid and not junky materials. Fits perfect with my office's decor. The riser goes up and down with zero issues. This is an absolute God's sent. Another plus the company is here in Los Angeles, California! Love supporting solid companies that make amazing products!!!! Just note that the keyboard does not retract so when you sit you may need to use a traditional keyboard tray. Just a note that if you are petite woman you will need a strong person to help you place it on your desktop. The keyboard tray does have to be assembled to the riser but that took my male co-worker 15 minutes. Super simple and not confusing. The product is just aces and spades!

Arrived Quickly and Easy to Set Up.
Arrived MUCH sooner than stated when I purchased the product. Easy to set up. Literally took it out of the box and attached the keyboard tray. Plug it in and it’s ready to go.As opposed to the other model I tried and returned from another brand - this one feels steady and stable. The white is nice and clean looking. The motor is relatively quiet.Knowing this is made in the US, I’m surprised at how much less expensive it was than some other electric models.

Really nice finish
It’s big enough for my monitors and has a really nice finish that seems durable. It’s beautiful. I use it standing more often than not. Assembly was a breeze-takes about 2 minutes and no tools. However, it could be more stable. It wobbles a bit when I’m typing. I’m afraid to lean into it at all. Not the end of the world, but the main reason I bought something so expensive was because I wanted it to be stable.

Sitting, standing, worthwhile upgrade.
I work from home permanently and this was a great purchase to increase my time standing and moving while still being able to work comfortably. Holds a lot of weight well, I just never leave it standing for more than 2 hours as not to make any mistakes.
