I normally wear a 14 regular in most pants but ordered a 16 plus in these based on other reviews and am glad I did. They just fit and the waist is slightly snug. I could probably even order an 18 plus and they’d be a little more comfortable.

These are more comfy than they look. I first purchased the pants in size 10, these I take a size 12 IDKY! I like the length. I would purchase more if they had more color choices.

Bought these shorts for travel. They are great for hiking or casual wear. Lightweight and very packable. I love the length. Will be looking for more in different colors.

These are great walking -length shorts, especially for women over 50 who like them a bit longer. I'm 5'6" and they hit the middle of my knee. At 140-142 lbs. a size 10 fits. Material is water resistant without the"swish" sound. Lightweight. I have 4 colors, wish they had more colors. Travel well.

I own 5 pairs 2 black, 2 Nocturnal and 1 Tusk all fit great. I ordered the City Gray 3x even straight from Columbia and they are 2” smaller in the waist band. I showed a photo laying flat it an 1” smaller so that equals 2 “ total front and back. The hips and legs are the same just around the waistband.I love thé length, slim leg and fabric. I use them for running and walking or just to wear around town.I’m a slim, athletic older women, so short shorts aren’t the best for me anymore. I live in Hawaii and want to stay active and these are just what I was looking for.The sizing is not real consistant. I had to order a few in the same size. To get one that fit. Also keep in mind they do stretch. I think that when I ordered more and they were tighter than my 1st pair, mine stretched a little. Once I got one I could button it did fit better after wearing them for a day.I’m 5’4” 115-117 lb and the size 4 fits me. I wear a small in workout tights. I hope this helps.Up date I tried 3 more times to get a City Gray that fit. They fit like a 2 or smaller in the waistband.I really want a Gray pair a tried the 6 and it was big all over. Come on Columbia fix this issue

I'm 5'7", they hit right at the knee. They have lots of stretch but retain their shape throughout the day. They are not baggy. I usually wear a12 or 14 depending on the brand and the style. Definitely a 14 in these shorts.

I have 3 pairs of these shorts and I love them. I ordered another pair but the style that was sent to me is different than the image shown. The drawstring that shows in the back is not there anymore. The waistband in the back is closed so the fit is much different than the style with the drawstring that runs completely through the waistband. I hope this isn't a permanent change because I have bought these for years and find them sooooo comfortable. Columbia, please don't ruin a good thing!

These shorts are great for the hot weather as they are lightweight and very comfortable. Plus they are a longer length short and I was looking for this. I liked them so much that I ordered a second pair!

Washes well and comes out ready-to-wear. Very comfortable!
