We used these with Valspar concrete floor paint using one coat of concrete bonder, two coats of concrete floor paint with the last coat adding the color chips, and then sealed it with two coats of concrete seal. We did a 400-square foot room with a pretty thick coverage of chips and still have more than enough left to do our next project. I was happy with the way they turned out. They were considerably less than the big box store price for the same product.
