I don't think it would work well on carpeting.I considered reducing it to 4 stars because it isn't very durable. It's rated for 260 lbs. I weigh 132. I've been using it for a month and the seat has noticeably compressed. I decided to keep it at 5 stars because it completely satisfied my need to get around easily after the operation.
