Armour EtchOver N Over Stencil, Full Alphabet

These worked really well for my Christmas etching DIY gifts. I had read other reviews that said they weren't reusable and was a little scared because I needed to spell a last name with two "D"s in it 6 times and wasn't sure they would hold up - but they did! I found that you had to completely let them dry ON THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING before trying to use them again. Yes it took some time but the results made it worth it. Also, used a credit card to smooth out the letters and ensure no air bubbles and then halfway through the etching I mixed the cream around again to make sure it covered the entire area. Worked perfectly every time.

As I have stated in all my reviews of Armour Etch Over n Over stencils. I love them. They are very durable and easy to use. I always get 30+ uses. I only which they offered more choices.

These letters are great for etching glass along with the armour etch cream.The only reason I couldn't give them 5 stars is - they aren't really reusable forever. I found after using them 6ish times, they stopped being sticky enough to stay on the glass and keep their shape.My best advice would be to take the letters and stick them back on the sheet after removing them from whatever you just etched on. Let them dry fully before attempting to use them again - that way they have the best chance of regaining their stickiness. Place something heavy on top of them while they dry so that they flatten back out.

I am using this item for etching and the stencils go on and off easily. This product can be used over and over and still maintain it high quality.

keeps the etching acid in place, but even with the letters right next to each other, they look really spaced out when you are done. I tried overlapping the edges of the letters in hopes of getting them closer together, but then the etching cream seeps under the stencil.....I didn't try trimming the stencils; maybe that would be the way to eliminate space between letters??

I frosted initials and small designs on glasses for a party. I found a box of 12 cheap plain wine glasses and added guests initials and everyone thought I had spend tons of time on them when it really was not a long or involved project at all. I practiced first on an old vase and rubberbands wrapped around to make a design and it was so easy, I just jumped into the project.

It says in the description that it is reusable and it is true. I've only used a couple of the letters twice, but they seem pretty sturdy still. A good basic alphabet

These aren't what I would consider a stencil. We bought paint pens, these are at most a couple uses per letter. Cheap, flimsy and at about 3/4" not what was expected. You have to remove them from the backing to use. These suck; the most and careful of children said they were junk and I have to agree. Giving two stars because an avid scrap-booker said she'd use and they aren't utterly useless (although she could get better cheaper).

Love them and have bought plenty

I am not 100% sure but i dont actually think these were made for what i thought they were!! When they arrived it said about a paste which i didn't have. I think they are supposed to be used with that. However, I bought them for the use with my Dremel to etch the glass. Good news is that they worked perfectly! They stuck on the glass and peeled off easily. (Note: you do need to take care whilst doing so but thats to be expected) I accidentally caught the stencil with the Dremel bit a few times but the stencil didn't rip!! It only marked it slightly and made no difference to the outcome of the glass etching. I love these so much! I'm already thinking of getting some more for Gifts and other DIY's.
