These are GREAT!
I went through three pairs of the store-bought gloves, trying to find a pair that fit my size large mans hands. One pair, labeled "large" was so tight I could barely get them on. The only way to take them off was to pull them off inside out. One pair had NO lining inside whatever. The disposable gloves from a big-box store worked OK, but were not lined and did not last very long. These gloves, size X-Large, fit my hands loosely enough to be easy to put on and take off. They are made of a thick, durable "rubber" that will last. The cotton lining is thick enough that I can use the hottest water to wash dishes without any fear of getting burned. The cuffs are long enough that I have never gotten water inside the gloves by mistake. I think I will put these gloves on a subscription program, just to be sure I have a new pair on hand when the older ones do wear out. Eventually.

Latex-free, insulated and cotton-lined for comfort ... these thick hypo-allergenic gloves work well in hot water
These are indeed the 'ultimate household gloves'. Being made of vinyl (and of course, latex free) is what makes them 'ultimate'.When my allergies act up, I seem to react to everything - including even the mildest dishwashing liquid. Hence the need for waterproof latex free gloves. These hypo-allergenic gloves do the job just fine!PROS:These gloves are made of a tough vinyl shell that can withstand harsh dishwashing cleaners. The vinyl shell also insulates my hands so I can safely use really hot water when washing a sinkful of greasy dishes. The vinyl around the glove's fingers and palm is slightly roughened for a good grip on soapy dishes.Gloves measure about 12" long with 5" cuffs ... so, I can easily reach for those dishes at the very bottom of my kitchen sink full of sudsy water.I also have the option of folding back the long cuffs on these gloves ... this prevents water from running back on my arms while doing the dishes. (SEE PHOTOS IN CUSTOMER IMAGES)The generous cotton liner makes this kitchen glove super comfortable. The cotton liner also allows me slip these gloves on and off with utmost ease. These gloves come in really cool colors ... so, they are fun to wear!Gloves, especially, cotton lined gloves, would need washing. I machine wash these gloves on gentle cycle and line dry to get them really clean.HINT: I fold the cuffs all the way back to the fingers before machine washing and, again to line dry. So, my gloves are always clean and odor free.CONS:These vinyl gloves are thick. However, I adjusted quickly to the thickness without any loss of dishes! :)I find that new gloves are a bit stiff at first, but they soon soften up nicely.ABOUT SIZING: These cotton lined gloves slip on and off easily so, 'Medium' would be a snug fit for hands that would otherwise use 'Large' in the yellow household gloves. If you like your gloves loose fitting, then buy your regular glove size! The fingers on these gloves are a bit short but I don't find it a problem ... Actually this makes it so much easier to deep clean these gloves (when I turn them inside out) to machine wash and line dry.Overall, I recommend the True Blues Ultimate Household Gloves to anyone looking for gloves that are both comfortable and durable. If you are also looking for latex free hypo-allergenic household and garden gloves ... then you found them ... just decide on the color - green, red, purple, pink or plain old True Blue!NOV 2011 UPDATE: After 1 year of dishwashing duty, my green True Blue gloves developed a pinhole leak and, are now retired to doing light duty as my 'dry weather' gardening gloves :))JUNE 2013 UPDATE: My replacement pair is now 17 months old and is still doing active dishwashing duty! However, the cotton inner liner has gotten understandably thinner after over a year and a half of daily use and dozens of baths in the clothes washer :))I am going to 'retire' this pair now, solely for the comfortable feel of the thicker cotton lining in a new pair of True Blue gloves !I certainly got my money's worth out of these gloves over the years ... but still, I wouldn't mind if these gloves were more affordably priced.Hope my review and updates were helpful ... Why the low Percentage of 5 - star reviews? These gloves are GREAT !!!
I came back to this page to check if these gloves are still available through Amazon -- I'm glad they are! This grandmother has been hand washing dishes for years in scalding water, with many different kinds of rubber gloves; these are hands-down the VERY BEST GLOVES I've ever had. They last a long, long time (well over a year with daily use)They protect your hands extremely well (no problems with the hottest water)andThey are comfortable to use (good tactile sense, the cotton liner really helps!)I don't know why these gloves aren't rated much higher than the 62% I saw for 5 - star ratings. What's not to love? For the past 7 years, I've used this brand. I've washed them in my washing machine to refresh them (turn inside out first) I've used them for heavy household cleaning chores (washing floors with detergents and hot water)--- and all without problems. For those who insist upon using bleach and wearing these gloves - you will find non-latex gloves to be somewhat affected by bleach. After all, bleach is a strong oxidizer and will oxidize metal. If you must use bleach and wear these, minimize the damage by washing the gloves (wear them while you do this) in cool water and use a mild soap like Dove dishwashing detergent. You will stop the oxidation and remove a good amount of the bleach residue off the gloves. If you use bleach routinely while cleaning, look perhaps for industrial gloves that are impervious to chemicals. You'll probably get more wear out of them, but they won't be as stylish as these ; )I live with my 97 year old mom, and we have lots of family visit who use the gloves we have at the sink -- mom's pair doesn't last like mine -- she replaces hers at a ratio of about 4-5 pairs for every 1 pair of these. So, they are cost effective.I have no connection with the manufacturer or seller of these gloves - just a lifetime's worth of experience washing dishes.UPDATE: August 28, 2023This is the third pair I've purchased in 14+ years. The other two didn't wear out or leak....they were demoted - 1 for use doing bathroom cleaning, and 1 for outdoor/garden use.NONE of them have broken down in all that time: multiple machine washings & dryings outside (leave em inside out till dry) nothing affects these gloves.I recommend turning the cuffs down slightly to prevent water getting inside.Lately my arthritis has made my grip less secure, so I'm extra careful with big bowls, delicate glasses, etc. I think a set of rubber sink liners is in my future.

Brilliant Gloves
I'm a k.p. I use these gloves all the time, and they have lasted brilliantly. The price is a bit much but it is well worth it by the durability of them. By this time i would have went through many gloves, costing more than these in total. They're very heat resistant and with the inner lining make it so you don't sweat as much. If I were to change them at all would be to make the neck just a cm longer, there not really short just it would help with the little extra length. Other than that they are perfect!UPDATE:I've got through many of these. I usually go 2 pairs every 3 months, by then they shrink a little (from the constant washing in the washing machine) but are still usable as spares. Probably the best gloves out there.
