Does a solid job of protecting my laptop. Many of the complaints are about how difficult it is to switch between tablet and laptop mode, but I primarily keep my surface book in laptop mode so it doesn't really affect me. Main drawback is that because of the additional stand in the screen half of the case, the laptop becomes very top-heavy and the whole surface book leans back if the screen is tilted back. Setup took me awhile to figure out, but wasn't too difficult.

Tablet section of the case does not allow the keyboard and screen to fit tight which give device errors that USB device has been removed wrong then reset and happens again several times just give up and removed it

descent cover for the money. I just needed a cover to put my Surface on my desk at work. The only issue is the bottom strap that holds the screen enables a clean flush closing which caused the unit not to work properly due to proper connections. I had to cut the bottom strap from the screen so the Surface can close flushly. Other than that its fine.

The first time I put the case on and attached it to the keyboard, my keyboard wouldn't recognize that was attached for 5 minutes or so and would not let me take the screen back off. Once I was able to take it off I didn't put it back on. I really like case though in tablet mode.

DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU PLAN ON USING THE LAPTOP MODE. This case is virtually useless as a laptop case. It blocks the connection from the keyboard portion to the end portion. A piece got stuck and did not detect my keyboard and since the surface is magnetized I couldn't get it out. I had to somewhat surgically remove the piece that got stuck in between that was blocking that connection. Nearly made my keyboard useless. I can't even return this since I ripped the part that was blocking the connection.

The reviews are correct. It does not work well when docked together. I thought about cutting off the strap on the bottom but then the surface would not stay in the case.The flip out stand appears to be the heavy part on the back of the screen. I thought about cutting it off and taping the inside but I decided to send it back and find something else.There is potential here, just needs tweaking.

I really like this case. It is protective and well made. The only issue I have is the kick stand is not really long enough to keep my computer solidly in a full upright position. It is heavy and weighs the screen backwards. however, I really do like it and would recommend this.

The case is great besides the fact that the tablet cover interferes with the tablet plugging into the keyboard so that gets a little annoying
