Not the same flavor as the loose leaf tea.
Even the loose leaf tea has changed flavor over the last several months. The price kept increasing, so I tried these. Very fine bits of leaves, and a lot of powder. Worse, the flavor is quite stem-y and grassy (as in yard grass, not epicurean "grassy"). It is a green tea in that it is not roasted, but the flavor is peculiar.

Very good tea - but the bags do not compost.
Great tea. Poor bags. We have been putting them in our compost bins and, while the tea definitely composts the bags themselves do not. We have found the unaltered bags in our compost bins and gardens. I am now separating the spent tea from the bags and trashing the bags. A bit of a pain.

The best green tea
I tried this green tea at a Japanese restaurant. I asked what was the brand of tea was I drinking. They told me and advise I could get it at Amazon. So I bought it. Very good tasting green tea. I recommend it!!

Disappointed
I had been searching for good quality green tea in the pyramid tea bags that I could buy in America. I grew up with green tea and am picky about the flavor. Then, I found this green tea with great reviews. I was disappointed when I made my first cup. The smell is super light, and the flavor is not as strong as I prefer. The saddest thing was the tea leaves look grounded, which gave me flakes in the cup. I was hoping to have actually green tea leaves opening while fusing and to have great greet tea aroma when you open the package and you make a cup.I could give only one star but I decided to go with 2 just because the green tea seems to be genuinely from Japan. Also, it arrived earlier than expected arrival date.I wish I can have money back but you honestly really cannot tell if the flavor is really suiting to one's style until you buy and have a sip.

Best green tea
I first had this at a Japanese noodle shop. Asked the waitress about the brand and she not only told me but sold me a bag from their stock. It is the best green tea ever. The color and taste is amazing. The foil pyramid tea bags are pretty unique. They really help with the release of flavors and each cup is still as bold as the first. I can get away with 5 refills to one tea bag. Perhaps more. The pouch is resealable and resistant to light which is important to maintain antioxidants.
