Q: Is the lid spill proof

Yes and no. Water will come out the holes on the top of you don’t catch it in time

Q: Is the mug bpa free? it states the lid is but i don’t see anything about the tumbler.

I don’t know about being BPA free, but it didn’t keep my drink cold for more than 4 hours!! So dI appointed...returning it today.

Q: Can the thicker silicone straws fit in the straw hole?

Nothing to much bigger than a Starbucks plastic, reusable straw but other lids fit the cup. Honestly, this is one of the best cups I have bought. Ice lasts almost as long as my Yeti cup.
