Great minimalistic design and easy to use
1) Setup in office space: Compared to other systems we tested this was way easier and simpler to setup. No drilling, hammering, no wires needed. It took us 5 min to setup with smart magnetic mount. Works well, looks great and our visitors are continually asking us for information regarding our conferencing room display. Joan works well for us. You can add custom logo and messages as well as customize the layout or screen.2) Operation: Synced very well with my Office 365 calendar, shows all necessary information to avoid the confusion if room is busy or not, when it's booked, etc...I love being able to find right room quickly and not running around and/or being kicked out because someone had it booked on Outlook. I have also used it just next to my desk to show people if and when I'm on Teams/Zoom call and what I'm doing. I sometimes just put certain jobs when I don't want to be disturbed on my calendar so everybody sees it.3) If you want, you can go deep and get access to Joan's API and even develop your own apps on Joan, I have not tried it yet.4) What others said: I read the other review of this product and talked to someone who uses it for his personal home office and decided to go for it (because I could not find solution that would seem better or cheaper). I can tell that my experience with software seems to much better, easier....perhaps there has been software update or something but it was pretty much hustle free (you do need admin rights to Office 365 calendar to let Joan see your calendar). Does indeed require 6 USD but many others require up to 20 USD and they don't have any devices just software service.Overall pretty happy with the purchase - very sleek design, easy integration (probably the best in business) and versatile software.

There has to be better options out there
We own a commercial office building and offer a conference room for our tenants. In the past tenants have just used Post-It notes to reserve this room. We decided to try a Joan 6 device thinking our tenants could reserve the conference room either on the device itself OR on one of several online calendars. I received the Joan 6 device and plugged it in to power to fully charge the device. I then tried to set up the device. I followed the directions to "wake up" the device and then to enter a PIN to get it to work. Even after entering the PIN and getting confirmation the pin was accepted, the screen stayed on same screen (like I had not successfully entered the PIN for use). After working with it for over an hour, I finally got the screen to show options to book times, to see what times were available, etc. However, I could not get the device to sync with any online calendars (Google, Outlook, etc.). I then thougth I woud just try to have our tenants reserve the conference room from the device; I thought I would try to fix the sync issue at a later date. When you receive the device, there are three pieces: 1) a rectangular metal piece with adhesive on the back; 2) the Joan 6 device; and 3) and a USB charging cord. The directions say to remove the adhesive cover from the back of the metal piece and place it where you wish the Joan 6 to remain. It said to apply pressure to ensure the metal piece did adhere to the wall. It said to wait at least 30 minutes before connecting the Joan 6 device to the plate (there's a magnet in the back of the Joan 6). I hung the metal wall plate on a Friday afternoon and then didn't put the Joan 6 device on it for three days. Then I was told the plate and the device had fallen from the wall and had hit the floor. The screen was obviously damaged from the fall though there was no physical damage to the screen, the device itself, etc. The screen showed a jumble of lines.I reached out to someone with Joan 6 who really questioned me about what happened. I acknowledged that there was a fall, but that the device didn't work properly before it fell and that the fall wasn't my fault. There was clearly not strong enough adhesive on the plate to hold the device in place.I have now been offered to return the Joan 6 device to the manufacturer. They will provide a replacement, but only after they receive it and their technicians inspect it. The shipping label for the return is in Slovenia! So I would imagine it will take a week or two to get there, several weeks before they inspect it, and if they approve a replacement (which I'm not guaranteed), it will probably be another week or two before I get a replacement. I am still debating whether or not I just return this to Amazon. That's probably what I'll do.I would give the device a 1 star rating if it wasn't for the rep from Joan who has tried to help me. Bottom line, I would NOT recommend this product. If you have problems with it, as we have, be prepared to wait for some time to get a replacement.

This sustainability wins!
Looks sharp with the non-intrusive minimal design. Love the sustainability and extremely low-power consumption. The only battery system we found. Love it!

Huge Money and Time Drain
Here's the thing. This product, physically speaking, is great. It's a solid product that would do a really good job at displaying the status of your office rooms...if the software supporting it made any sense at all. Not only is it a huge pain to set up, with custom software that has to be downloaded, but the options for customizing the tool are completely lacking unless you want to build the code yourself. And all that would be fine, maybe a 3-star review for me, except that there is a monthly subscription fee ON TOP of the already uncompetitive pricing of the cost to buy the product. Nowhere is that monthly cost mentioned in the product description on this page. Learn from my mistake, find a better solution for your business.
