only lasted 21 months
I purchased this battery for my Verizon FIOS backup in April 2021 and today the alarm started beeping telling me to replace the battery. According to the research I have done it should last between 3 to 5 years. I am a bit annoyed that mine did not last very long.

Perfect fit into the Fios box
The battery came with a 12.6 volt charge on it. It's the exact same size as the old (2 years) Fios battery.Within a few hours, it was charged up to 13.7 volts. No alarms yet. :)When removing the battery, don't try to unplug terminal lug wires. Pull out the small pig-tail plug near the center of battery (left side). It has a little handle, you can grab.Release the plastic hook clamp and pull out the battery. Now you can pull the wire terminals off the battery lug tabs.If they are stuck, use a small standard screwdriver to 'drive' the connectors off the battery tabs,by tapping the screwdriver handle with a tiny hammer (or a large screwdriver handle).Being careful not to bent the new battery tabs, Install the pig tail onto the new battery. The large red connector goes on the '+' /Positive/Red side.Clip the battery into the Fios box, push in the small pig-tail plug and you are done.I'm not sure, but I suspect the Fios box runs tests on the battery, if the voltageisn't just right, it will set off the beep alarm. (Followed by an email from Verizon).Simply un-plugging and re-plugging in the battery will reset it for a while. Sometimes for months. One Year Later:At the beginning of this month (April 2014), the FIOS box dead-battery beeper started up again!I could not believe my new battery only lasted one year! So, I wanted to charge it up and test it.So, I pulled it out of the FIOS box and connected it to a 12V solar charge controller.Without a battery, the Beeping was continuous! So, I found the old battery that I had pulled out last April, plugged it in and no more beeping! Peace at last..So, it's been over three weeks now.. What's up with the old battery? Maybe it wasn't so bad after all..?.Now my plan is to leave it installed and swap it out with the new one, when the beeping starts again..

A dud
We purchased this to replace our internet providers backup battery pack. Unfortunately 5 months later the battery died. **Update stars from one star to three. Warranty covered a replacement. Customer service was below par. Although a replacement was received. At least there is that.

Cost-effective replacement
Battery works for replacing original Verizon equipment at a cost-saving. Since it is described as a "Verizon FIOS Replacement Battery", the following information may be useful:1. Battery works without issues.2. The original FIOS battery shipped by Verizon is rated at 7.8 Ah, and current replacements are spec'd at 8.0 Ah. Replacing it with a 7.0 Ah capacity battery will mean less time on backup power (I estimate ~ 10% less time to discharge) once it's needed.3. The exterior dimensions of the battery are slightly smaller than the original FIOS equipment and the fit inside the compartment is slightly less snug. This required carefully holding it in place to keep it from falling out until the compartment cover was secured.4. The battery's electrical connectors may not be as large as pictured (my battery's were smaller). While the original FIOS battery backup connectors still fit, they were looser than the original, although there were no issues once the battery was secured in the compartment. My conclusion: Yes, it's a fully functional battery that will power Verizon FIOS equipment. As it is described as a "Verizon FIOS Replacement Battery", I would have preferred it to be closer to the original equipment's specs in terms of capacity and physical fit with my Verizon equipment.

Best value on handicap scooter batteries ANYWHERE.
I shopped locally for new batteries for my handicap scooter. Either not available or crazy over priced. Once again, Amazon did not disappoint! Great value, fast shipping, and they fit perfectly.

Great Price for Verizon Replacement
A few weeks ago the ONT (Optical Network Terminal) for my Verizon FIOS started beeping. After some quick reading and looking at the lights on the terminal I realized the battery was bad. I went to the Verizon site to order a new one and they wanted approximately $39 with shipping for a replacement battery. After doing a bit of research I found a few sites that suggested replacement battery options and I found this one on Amazon for less than half the price (54% cheaper). Delivery time was exactly one week, but I think most people should expect to get theirs faster since I know there were a lot of delays due to the recent blizzard here in the NE.Once received it literally took me about 1 minute to install the new battery (I had already removed the old one) and the existing clips worked fine. I read on some sites that people were having issues with the existing wire clips on the ONT not fitting some replacement batteries, but that was NOT the case with my setup. The clips fit snug like you would expect and the battery fit perfectly back in the ONT. Most importantly, NO MORE BEEPINGFor those of you who want to know want the ONT isโฆAn ONT is a media converter that is installed by Verizon either outside or inside your premises, during FiOS installation. The ONT converts fiber-optic light signals to copper/electric signals.
