How many hours of sun is needed to get them charge?

Does it need to be completely dark for the light to come on? I have patio string lights that we use at night, so it's not super dark in my back yard.

I believe they would come on if not too bright...I love these...they are very reliable and I use in the pool or on the deck. They come on at low dusk.

How can you anchor the light to stay in one place in the pond?
