Slightly deceptive measurements and material description
Lying flat, the pouch does measure 7.6" x 10.6". However, you won't be able to fit anything wider than 6 3/4" inside. Inside, the red area goes up 8 5/8", the drawstring's at 9 1/4", and anything higher than 10 3/8" would stick outside of the bag. The material is most likely velveteen, as I would describe it as stiff and on the harsher side of the velvet spectrum. It's definitely not soft & furry as I would expect from something that is described as being of "premium" quality.

I looked and looked and looked. I have oversized tarot cards that I purchased from here and wanted a nice velvet baggie. Found it!!
