Downside, Leviton is expensive... Upside, Leviton is expensive for a reason. These are really well-made jacks which install reliably every time. I've never had an issue, even when re-using them. They're even made in the US, I believe (maybe Mexico), and at this price they're actually about the same or maybe a little cheaper than the clone sold at the local big orange box store.You can definitely get cheaper keystone jacks, and some of them might even work fine, but I've realized time is money and I don't want to spend mine chasing weird signal integrity issues from substandard jacks.Every time I install cabling, I look at the cheaper options and I'm tempted. Then I realize that if I have to replace just one bad jack, I've eliminated whatever cost savings I might have had. Do it right, do it once.

Pricey, but for the DIYer with the capability to plan out and wire a network - you take the professional installer out of the equation, and save a ton. In the process of creating a smart home and slowly moving from room to room.These are super easy to install and works perfectly with the quickport wall plates. And they look great.FYI, I bought 1000 ft of cat 6 wire from Amazon for 90 dollars. For perspective, 100 ft will cost 40 dollars at Home Depot. Hence the need to plan ahead.

Even with the recent drop in price, these keystones remain overpriced for what they offer. Firstly, putting 568A termination schematic labels under the more widely used 568B, is a bad practice. Most manufactures have both punchdown schemes visible on the jack. In addition, what if you remove the first label and years later want to change your network configuration The Leviton jacks are easy enough to punch down but the wire strain relief clip seems flimsy and doesn't provide much support and will easily break if you drop one or step on one. If you like this style of CAT6 keystone (as I do) I'd recommend the Commercial Electric brand jacks at Home Depot, of all places. They are wildly expensive, too. But the build quality is much better than the Levitons' and the strain relief caps are snug, snap shut securely and are more durable.

What can I say about a keystone jack?Wires up easily, works as designed.However, be careful if using a regular punchdown tool; while punching down one slot, the ear didn't break off, but it did bend slightly; however it bent back OK so I'm not concerned in the long term.

The jacks were exactly what I needed for a big job

This Cat6 Ethernet jack snaps into the matching Leviton faceplates. I use the Leviton 6-port faceplate in a 2x3 layout. Start populating with these jacks on the top row first, then work down. The faceplate says which way is UP.I use it with the Leviton punch tool. Everything works really well. It has attached stickers for type A and type B Ethernet wiring. Peel away the top sticker (B) to reveal the bottom sticker (A). Works great. It doesn't matter if you use A or B, but you have to be consistent -- each end of the wire has to be wired the same. For my house, many years ago I chose A.There is also a snap-on cable holder (shaped like a U) that helps hold the wiring in place. It isn't visible in the photo, but is a nice touch.I highly recommend these. I especially like the large variety of colors available. I use the white jacks for regular Ethernet (Internet), green jacks for CCTV cameras, and red jacks for digital speakers.Scott

This RJ 45 is made for cat6 wire. The fitting is color-coded and comes with a tool to seat the wires, so you do not need a knockdown tool to install it. f you follow the color-coding, you can make a perfect connection. You need to purchase the specific wall plate for this to snap into, then it makes for a nice install. $8 for one fitting is pricey when I can buy these in bulk for less than a dollar from a distributor. I only needed one in this color, and time was a factor. I got this in a couple of days.

I've used these many times over the past several years and they work well. The price is pretty crazy for these. I suggest checking the price for different colors since they are different... white being one of the most expensive.
