Not Bad for the Money
While packed for woodworking, these are very decent for the home or semi-pro shop who want to get up and measuring at a low cost. Compared to a Mitu, the price is a throwaway, but a very good value if not abused.

Great
Works great and solidly manufactured, but buttons are floppy

Adequate and as described
For the money, it does the job. I needed a basic height gauge for knife making, it works. I wish it was carbide tipped but for annealed steel it works ok. Decent weight. Doesn’t feel too flimsy.

Good bang for the buck. Works for a hobby shop.
The base on the surface gauge was slightly wobbly as was stated in one of the reviews. I was planning on polishing the base anyway...It took me about 15 minutes with a makeshift surface plate and some 400 grit sandpaper to level it out. After that, some 1000 grit to polish it up and it works very nicely. It glides on the surface plate now. I might go to some 2K grit. The reason for polishing…less wear on the granite surface place. You want the gauge base to glide instead of scrape off the material of the surface plate. I checked the gauge with my 1-2-3 block and got exactly that. 1.000”, 2.000” and 3.000” with the block around 80F. Not bad for a poor boy setup. Consider thermal expansion. At 68F, all sides were shy .001"+-. So maybe the block was ground and measured at 80F, dunno. Repeatability was good.

The quality is higher than the price.
the quality is higher than the price. The gauge is well made and proves to be accurate. For doing small projects at home, I am very happy with it. On top off that the batteries can be bought anywhere. This was a consideration for me. I would buy this tool again.
