I got this book on stuff your kindle day and it blows my mind how this book hasn't received more publicity! It is wonderful, cosy and really well written. I will definitely be ordering the rest of the series.A slight warning though: this book will likely make you crave pastries lol.

I really enjoyed this book. I found it a bit light compared to most of the other PWF books i've read, but it was perfect for keeping me company during a day immobile. The characters are intriguing and I am eager to try out book 2.

I must say I really enjoy this new trend of casual fantasy, where action isn't about saving the word but, for instance, baking cake. Butter sugar magic is a nice debut, with this cozy touch of magic without being super stressful. There is some clumsiness regarding the intrigue (it felt quite predictable at times but Cassy seemed oblivious to it, then super suspicious towards everyone at other moments). Still, the writing is pleasant to read, making this book perfect for chill evenings

Such a cozy read, with enough intrigue to make me keep reading. The story left me content and delighted, and ready to read more.
