Stanley: Dark Genius of African Exploration (Explorers) Paperback – August 18, 2020

I hope i didn't pay anything for this book.I tried to get into it but was unsuccessful.Dreadful stilted writing about a perverse subject.

The story of American newspaper man Henry Stanley finding Dr. Livingstone in the heart of Africa is an iconic moment in the so-called Scramble For Africa, and in this terrific book you get that plus his daunting European-first trip down the Congo to the Atlantic and subsequent tragic interactions with the Belgian King Leopoldo all in one well-written book. Highly recommended.
