Good? Depends...
I'm using this with Swagman XC Cross-Country 2-Bike Hitch Mount Rack (1/1/4 and 2-Inch Receiver) bike rack. I haven't used it with any other rack but I suspect this may be a critical factor in some of the negative comments, such as:1. Not Anti-Wobble. For starters, nowhere on the product's blister pack for the hitch pin (with or without the cable) does it say 'anti-wobble'. Further, I suspect that those who claim it is not anti-wobble are not using it with a tongue that has a threaded, aluminum-block insert. This is critical to the whole 'anti-wobble' thing. In fact, if someone just wants the 'anti-wobble' feature for a Swagman rack, it's just throwing money away since the included, threaded hitch pin that comes with Swagman racks are 'already' anti-wobble.If whatever you're going to use this with does 'not' have a threaded aluminum-block insert, the so-called 'anti-wobble' hitch-pin will do nothing. In fact, if Swagman really wanted to cover this deficiency, they'd offer a version that includes the threaded block since it goes in easily and is held in place by just a couple of rubber, O-ring gaskets.2. Security. Some have complained that it's not really secure in that someone could theoretically unbolt the rest of the rack. Well, duh. Unless you weld everything, that's pretty much the case with any bike rack. Even then, someone with a portable cutting torch could cut everything loose. The real feature of the cable is that you won't have to use an additional cable/padlock to secure your bikes. Simply put, it just cuts down on the number of keys/padlocks you have to lug around.Frankly, if someone has a bike rack with a tongue that doesn'thave a threaded insert, and didn't care all that much about 'anti-wobble', it'd be a whole easier and cheaper just to run down to your local big-box store and buy a locking hitch-pin/cable from them. Which leads to the last point:3. Permanent/temporary. The Swagman 'anti-wobble' hitch-pin, whether OEM or locking, is a bolt-in affair which takes more effort to insert/remove than just a standard slide-in pin. That, alone, is probably enough to deter most casual thieves. But it's also more time consuming and harder to do. If someone is doing a lot of installing/removing the bike rack, it might be better to just use a non-threaded hitch-pin.The bottom line is that, while the Swagman Threaded, Locking Hitch-Pin and Cable 'do' work, the user should really examine how they plan on using their bike-rack to determine whether it truly fits their needs.

Very useful and functional, really helps eliminate rattle
We're using this on the back of our 5th wheel, with two regular bicycles and a Swagman bike carrier. It's nice and long enough to easily wrap through both frames and secure it to the trailer hitch. It's actually long enough, that it fits through part of my Swagman frame and also locks an area that can be unbolted, so that it also secures the bike carrier. The bolt piece is very similar to the Swagman anti-rattle hitch pin, in that it threads but also has a very nice lock with a weather resistant cover.

Has held up
I used this to lock up our bikes on a trip from Florida to the west coast and back. Lock and anti-wobble has worked flawlessly the whole time. My only complaing when unlocking it is that you have to hold the lock while turning the key, which is hard when you are laying below a bike rack on the back of an RV. No big deal but its my only complaint.

A must have-for your bike rack
I was concerned about leaving my expensive bikes on an unsecured bike rack. This does the trick to lock my bikes so that I can safely leave my SUV with the bikes on the back for an hour or so. This cable and lock makes it much more difficult for the bikes to be stolen. As others mentioned, it is rather difficult to get to the locking mechanism when there are two bikes on the rack. Be prepared to have to kneel on the ground and stretch to get to the lock. Otherwise, great product.

Well designed!
Have had our Swagman bike rack for over a year and decided to buy a locking pin prior to going on a long road trip with our mountain bikes. When I saw this option with the cable lock I jumped on it. Felt very comfortable leaving the bikes on the car overnight at each hotel we stayed at during our 10 day trip.

Works great to secure my bike and the my bike rack
Works great to secure my bike and the my bike rack. It can be a little tricky to access depending how low your hitch is. I have to lie down on the ground to lock and unlock this. Unlike the photo, this uses a standard key and not the round one. As for how to use this, just screw the bolt with the washer into the hitch using a 19mm socket. Do not run the cable through the bolt like one user apparently did. Then, to secure your bike, run the looped end through your tire and frame and then run the metal eye through the loop, and put the metal eye over the end of hitch pin and attach the lock.

Needs a Nut
There is something missing here, and it could be user error but a more detailed product description could help. I purchased a bike carrier for the back of our RV, only to discover the 2-inch hitch on the RV did not extend far enough beyond the back to allow for two bikes. So, I bought an 8" extension (Draw-Tite manufacturer). And my wobble problems started. Bought this Anti-Wobble gizmo. No joy. What is missing is a threaded bolt or similar INSIDE the extension tube that this threaded hitch pin would screw in to. Without a nut, or threaded block inside the accessory tube, this hitch pin is useless. I went to U-Haul store and found and anti-wobble kit very similar to this Swagman (lacks the cable) but the U-Haul kit contains a clever nut-and-spring device that fits inside the extension tube and allows the tube to be tightened, a true anti-wobble. So an extension tube and 2 anti-wobble devices later, I'm $100 poorer but I don't wobble! 😀

Good product but the locking device can be improved.
The cable is very thick and pliable. Long enough to go around both bikes. This is a theft deterrent only. The locking device goes on and off easily enough however it seems that someone would be able to knock it off pretty easily with a hammer. It only engages bout a 1/4" inch or less with the anti-wobble bolt.

Works as advertised
I have the Swagman XTC2 carrier and wanted this so I can park and grab a bit to eat without worrying about the bikes being gone when I got back. For that purpose it works. Carrier doesn't wobble or sway much at all when using it (1 1/4" receiver). Not much more to say, it does what its supposed to and does it well.

works well
Whats to say... this works very well with a Swagman Bike carrier. The threaded hitch pin eliminates any sway and your bikes and rack stay rock solid with your hitch.Would be better if they included a keyed-alike padlock to attach the other end of the cable to your hitch as it is not long enough to start by looping around the carrier and then through 4 wheels and 2 frames and get back to the receiver pin. I do find the cable works very well if you attach it to the receiver pin first, then loop through rear tires and frames coming out and then through the front tires going back to the hitch and padlock to the hitch.

5-Feet We bought it to fit in our 2" receiver as it was the only one that would fit well with Swagman Trailhead 3 Folddown Bike
Swagman Anti-wobble Threaded Hitch Pin and Cable, 1/2-Inch/6.5-FeetWe bought it to fit in our 2" receiver as it was the only one that would fit well with Swagman Trailhead 3 Folddown Bike Rack (2-Inch and 1 1/4-Inch Receiver) but we do not like how it wobbles as the locking part is a perfect fit for the 5/8" pin. We had orginaly purchased the 5/8" pin but would not fit the Trailhead bike rack.Besides that it seem to be build of good strong quality.

Good Swagman product
Easy to install and use. I have an XC2 Swagman bike hitch and this is perfect for locking the hitch and the bike. Definitely needed as you are not always with your car when carrying bikes.

Works well with one exception.
The hitch pin and cable works well but my only complaint is that when the bikes are on it is hard to reach the lock to. unlock. Have to get down on the ground so that I can reach with both hands.
