Dinner and a show!
I purchased this as an occasional slow feeder for one of my two dachshunds who likes to wolf down his food, then stands over his slow eating brother, waiting to see if there will be anything left for him to clean up.My husband said he wasn't sure if he was smart enough to use a food puzzle. I purchased it anyways. It took him a couple of tries with me showing him how to slide the components around to get to the food, but he quickly caught on. He still has some difficulty getting to the under the long white slides that you access by moving the inner circle, and out of frustration might try to bite at the slide. (From a close distance I always supervise while using this product.)It's definitely a good way for him to eat while stimulating his mind, and helps to slow down his consumption; A great interactive feeding component. To be sure that I'm not overfeeding him while using this product I scoop out the amount of food I would normally give him at feeding time, and take from that scoop and put into the feeding puzzle what I wish him to eat at that moment. I only put in one or two pieces in each of the 20 cups. (For our dogs we use small breed dog food - so if you use large breed dog food, or very round pieced food, it may not fit under the covers, or could cause sliding covers to jam, causing your puppy frustration, so I would recommend getting smaller treats to use with this product.)Whatever's left in his scoop I put into a slow feeder tray for later. The grippy feet on the puzzle help to keep it from sliding around, and it is easy to clean up if puppy gets overly excited and drools on it.I have a miniature dachshund who is about 13 lbs, and this is a perfect size for him!I don't know how well this puzzle would work for a large dog but up to a medium sized dog I could see it being perfect!

One for the kitties and one for the puppy
I got two because my kitties would stalk me trying to garner more and more of the Temptations treats and because they were often successful (they're so cute!) they were getting "fluffy". This helped to slow them down. My dog loved the idea of hunting for treats, but he would have no interest in eating his dry food. Haha,Amos, those treats in your puzzle are your Blue nuggets! I have to refill the puzzle several times, but now he eats the amount he is supposed to for his age and weight.

Day 1 and dog clips one of the disks off the board
I want to love it- but its not as durable as desired. It does provide dog with a few minutes of activity. However, the pieces of dog kibble get stuck in the middle tracks and since dog has an EXCELLENT know, she is insistent on finding every morsel. And this is what led to the popped disk and she couldn't get to the piece between- stuck in the track line. I popped it back in (took a little bit of muscle so kudos to puppy) and hope it lives to see another week.

Cats love it!
The media could not be loaded. My one cat (calico who thinks she runs the house) does not know how to entertain herself very well. She gets bored easily and then starts making trouble. She also has a bad habit of snacking when she’s bored. I got this puzzle hoping it would entertain her for a while, prevent her from eating as much food, and help stimulate both cat’s brains. Both of my cats like this puzzle. They both figured it out very quickly and kept wanting to search for treats, even after they found them all! I put some cat nip in some compartments and my black cat went nuts! The compartments are shallow, good for treats, a little food, or cat nip. At the depth, they can get the treats out with their mouth or paws. The covers are easy to move and will work for any size dog or cat.The tray is light and my cats can easily move the whole thing. If it’s on carpet, the grips do not work. On tile, the grips work but they can still move it. Larger dogs could move it without any effort. The quality is on par with the price.Overall, I would say it was a good buy.

On the small side, looks tough to figure out, but my dog did well...
Pretty tough little puzzle physically, but our 7 month old figured out how to get the food out of it pretty well, to get every kibble takes a bit of prompting as the 3/4 ring center blocks the sliding pieces with bone shaped holes (these are handy for loading the treats!).

Sturdy and fun for the pups
gave this as a gift after we got one for our pup. It keeps them busy and is a great way to feed them slowly. Will likely not hold a full serving but it’s great for small meals
