Enjoyed the book
Read the book. I was a newbie to Ohtani's past. Reading about how he was trained in Japan as a two way player with the ultimate plan to come to the Major Leagues was very interesting and how the Angels won the Shohei lottery when he finally did come statewide at a big discount because of international mlb rules of being under 25. If you are an Ohtani buff, you may not learn anything new here, but if you are interested in Ohtani's past, this book is great and easy reading.

Highly recommend for fans of Ohtani and baseball
This book is a great and easy read. As an Angels fan, I watched Ohtani's entire career with the Angels and the great season last year. Even for readers who experienced Ohtani's 2021 season, this book allowed readers to re-live it. The new details on Ohtani's career in Japan, decision to play in the US, and the courting of Ohtani by MLB teams were certainly added bonuses.

Good book
I recently read the book "Sho-Time: The Inside Story of Shohei Ohtani and the Greatest Baseball Season Ever Played" and I was thoroughly impressed with the level of detail and research that went into this book. The author, Paul Haddad, does an excellent job of capturing the incredible story of Shohei Ohtani's 2018 season, in which he became the first player in over a century to play as both a pitcher and a hitter. The book provides an in-depth look at Ohtani's unique skillset, his journey to the MLB, and the cultural and language barriers he had to overcome. The author also does a great job of providing context and background information on the Japanese baseball league and the cultural differences between the two leagues. One of the things that I appreciated most about the book is the level of access the author had to Ohtani and the Angels organization. The author was able to interview Ohtani and other key players, coaches, and team executives, which provides a truly inside look at the team and the season. The author also does a great job of capturing the excitement and drama of the 2018 season, which was truly one of the greatest seasons in baseball history. He provides a detailed account of Ohtani's historic performances, both as a pitcher and as a hitter, and the impact he had on the team and the league.Overall, I highly recommend "Sho-Time: The Inside Story of Shohei Ohtani and the Greatest Baseball Season Ever Played" to any baseball fan or anyone interested in sports history. It's a well-written and well-researched book that provides an in-depth and exciting look at one of the greatest seasons in baseball history. It's a fascinating look at one of the most unique players in the game and the cultural impact that he had on baseball.

If You're a Shohei Ohtani Fan, You Will Love this Book & the Audio Book
"JEFF FLETCHER KNOWS SHO!" -- Jeff Fletcher has covered the Los Angeles Angels since 2013 as a reporter for the Orange County Register, and he is an authority if not "the authority" on Shohei Ohtani since Ohtani signed with the Angels in December 2017. -- I have purchased several copies of Jeff Fletcher's "Sho-Time" book for gifts, and also the audio book for myself.

Such a great book! Highly recommend.
This book is a great read for everyone who knows nothing about Ohtani, everyone who thinks they know everything about Ohtani, and everyone in between! It's a very fast read and it's fascinating to get a glimpse into the life/thinking of someone who is at the top of their game.

Decent book
If you’re looking to learn more about Shohei Ohtani in a quick read this is a good book. Don’t expect beautiful writing or super personal info on shohei though. Shohei is a very private person and this book is not written from direct interviews with him. It is compiled based off of stats and other interviews Shohei has done with the media.

good insight
This book gives you a nice behind the scenes look on the rise of such a rare talent like Otani. I wish there was more perspective from the man himself outside his media quotes.
