Great activity book for youngsters who are just starting to learn their reading and writing skills. The CGP Books brand is very familiar to me from providing revision guides in my youth, so I am confident in recommending them for educational purposes. This is a fun book with a range of engaging activities that help to build and develop skills.

The reading activity book looks at differnt activities (eg camping in the woods, cooking in a kitchen etc) and has several small activites for each context designed to rely on the readers comphrension.The book includes a page for those helping the learner that explains how to use the book to maximise learning opportunities.Overall the majority of the activities do not require any knowledge or information other than that on the given page. However, some activities (like the page in photo) require prior knowledge that the reader may not have to answer successfully and so may be frustrating for the learner as they either know the answer or do not - there is no way for them to figure it out from information on the page. This does not happen often in the book but i was a little surprised to see it all given CGPs usually excellent educational materials.For £2.99 this activity book offeres excellent value for money and I would recommend it.

Great addition to my daughters learning, specially now she is starting to read, this book it’s a great help, very easy to follow, good pictures and activities. I highly recommend it.

This gorgeously illustrated book by CGP is a great way to introduce a child to the idea of workbooks. The activities are short yet engaging which appeal to a wide range of children.I would suggest these are quite ambitious for a 3 year old and might be better suited for a 4 year old beginning to learn their letters. The book starts with letter sounds but ends a few pages later with reading full words such as lick and mess.It might be better to be dipped in and out of as a child progresses in their learning rather than a page a day/week. Each double page spread would take my child maximum 5 minutes to complete. A great way to bond with your child through learning to read!

This is an easy to follow activity book suitable for 3-4 year olds. Its colourful and engaging and fun to work with. It also includes a very useful page with hints for helpers. This is a fun and educational book and very good value currently selling for £2,99.

My soon to be 4 year old loves these activity book. Lots of colourful picture and task to perform. Its also one of our best way to spend time together learning. Each page has different things to do which helps them quickly learn stuff. Its good for one setting and can be read and do any time especially for an active boy.

We have the book for our son who is just over 2 years old. We normally read the book with him before he going to the bed. It is a great way to spend time with him. The book is well designed and easy to follow for children of 2 to 3 year olds.
