Folic acid is now known to be toxic to an estimated 50% of the population with the MTHFR gene mutation and are advised to consume the natural version of Folate. These synthetic food dyes are banned in developed countries outside of the United States because of concerns about the health risks they cause yet the FDA still allows them to be used in the US. These dyes are also believed to cause ADHD in children.
