Hard Case with Foam - 19 x 13.4in Lockable Protective Cases for Gun Accessories, Electronics, or Hardware

Well built case, was the right size for my extra long barrel dart gun pistol (for treating livestock). A little on the heavy side, but very sturdy.

The case will fall over if empty, the plastic is brittle and has flashing all over it and it wil only open to a 90 degree angle

This budget case is a really nice one. Sturdy, carries attachments for shoulder straps etc. You cannot go wrong with it... other than the foam.If you're an OCD or neat freak, this isn't for you. The pluck foam isn't for one, cut right through, so the foam can and will tear. Not something you wish for if its to display your nice item. Also, the foam isn't layered, so it's about near 2.5 inches depth of foam that isn't all cut. A better option would be to make the foam 1" layered and cut in 1" x 1" or 1.5" blocks. For my application, it won't work for what I need, but for most it would do the job perfectly.

This case is metal, not plastic, and therefore pretty heavy

I will say it is well made, if well made means thick and heavy. It is absurdly heavy. The protective foam liner is nice and thick, but a real pain to customize. I would bet that this case will protect your gear, but you'll likely be cursing before you make it work.I'll be putting it on Craig's List.

Holds my large spotting scope nicely.
