The grinder arrived very quickly and works perfectly as long as you don't use it for wet or oily materials and follow the instructions to the letter (don't grind for more than two or three minutes, then wait 15 minutes for the machine to cool down). Cleaning the machine is not too difficult and the noise is as expected (some reviewers thought these two things were problematic). See pictures above for grinder and well ground super hard material.

Excellent Grinder but very noisemaker

This, very industrial, spice/coffee/grain grinder does an excellent job of pulverizing whatever you put into it. I've used it for grinding coffee beans and to make rice flour very successfully. There are no "settings" on this that you can select to get the grind you want, it's just trial and error, but for use in a restaurant this would probably suit.It's quite a large device and very industrial looking so perhaps not what people might want in their home kitchen. I'd also be a bit concerned about its safety in domestic settings; there is no mechanism to prevent it being switched on without the lid being in place, with potentially disastrous consequences; I was surprised by this as the fitting of sensors to disable the motor if the lid isn't in place seems like a very cheap but important safety feature that I'd expect to see on this sort of device.
