DICN Scissor Jack 2 Ton with Crank Handle Rustproof Car Stabilizer Lift for Hyundai Sonata/Elentra/Genesis/Veloster Universal

I had to replace the Hyundai OEM jack with this heavy duty model. This jack is smooth and raises my car faster and with less effort than the original. This has a one piece handle that is a vast improvement on the Hyundai two piece.

My Sonata didn't come with a jack so I bought this for emergency use. I used it 3 times, twice for a brake job (jacked up each side of the car) and once for a flat tire. All three times I used it in my garage on a clean, flat surface. On the third use I noticed the jack frame was crooked - and it was very difficult to jack up. Once I had it jacked up, while putting on the new tire the jack just fell over. Luckily I had the lug nuts hand tightened on the new tire or the car would have fell on me. (there is something to be said here for jack stands) Anyway, this thing (jack) is little more than a toy. Barely useful in the garage. Can't even imagine it would work at all in a real roadside emergency (where the ground would not be ideally flat).

Although this item may lift the total weight intended, the screw mechanism is not machined very accurate and may require not only additional lubrication to work properly, the frame foot pad may require an additional wider board or plate mounted to the bottom to give the user a “hand hold” location during cranking up or down to support it’s stability. Also the crank is very short and without much cranking leverage.
