ROCKYAlpha Force Oxford Shoe

Outstanding duty/Watch boots.
You can never go wrong with a pair of Rocky Boots. They come bright and shinning out of the box, they wear well and usually last me two years of daily use. They make standing watch comfortable, due to the extra padding and support. They always, shine up bright, with little to no effort. I've been recommending them to my sailors for the last 15yrs.

Good quality and well worth the price
A really good quality and rugged shoe. It feels like youโre wearing a boot for about the first week until they break in, but the extreme high-quality is well worth the price.

They have room.
I've been in law enforcement for almost 20 years now and these are the very first pair of low top duty boots I have ever purchased. I went to low tops in an effort to take some pressure off of my left ankle which was broken and fragmented in a personal vehicle accident in June of this year. Normally, I spring for the more expensive brand boots (Danner), but I couldn't justify spending that on a boot that might not work for what I intended it for.I wore these and broke them in relatively quickly. I have noticed a few things that other reviewers have mentioned that I might not have noticed had I not read previous reviews on these boots (Psychsomatic review?). I see that the outer sole is a bit clunky. I do not mind this overall, but it will catch on carpeted steps and platforms if one is not cognizant or fully awake due to a lack of caffeine in the blood. The inner soles are somewhat hard if you stand on your feet all day. I have had 3 back surgeries (one a fusion) and now a broken ankle and knee problems. They are not comfortable for standing over long periods of time. I will likely just go buy some different insoles should the need arise again. I do have one dislike about them: I check every morning before I put them on my feet to see if they are both still marked as the same size. They are, but every time I put them on my feet, the left shoe fits while the right shoe feels a size too big. I measured them. Same. I checked inside. Same. I guess my feet are no longer of equal size. They are comfortable for sitting at my desk as I am no longer out riding a white horse and wearing shining armor. They will do for me.

Amazing Corrections/police work shoe
Wife and I both work in Corrections and we each have a pair of these, they are sturdy, extremely comfortable, no break in time needed and when we have to respond to an area quickly they eat up the ground with the traction. We are both extremely pleased with these shoes so much we even bought our 2 sons a pair who are Corrections as well. They polish up beautifully for inspections and again, the comfort is primo especially being on our feet 12 hours a day...We will be buying again and again. Bravo Rocky for a great shoe ๐๐

One of my favorites
These are great shoes. They feel good, they're waterproof and they look good. These are winter shoes without having to look like you're going camping. The hiking style shoes and boot just don't fit in everywhere. These can be worn to work with casual pants and they fit right in. I wear them for sales calls during wet or snowy days. Good shoes. I used to wear them when I was a police officer too. Good value.

Too small and QUITE painful. (Whatever happened to uniform sizing?)
I have been wearing the same size work shoes since my teens -- and I am now in my sixties; my recently-purchased work shoes from another major manufacturer are that size, and (after about a two-day break-in) they fit me perfectly. (So it's not my feet that have changed as I aged -- it's the LEFT shoe of this pair that is incorrectly sized and EXCRUCIATING to wear after one whole week.)I awarded these shoes "two stars," not one, because at least they are well-built -- the uppers have not separated from the soles, even though I have applied heavy tension with a mechanical shoe stretcher in my attempt to rectify the sizing problem."Wide" (in my order) is not actually wide in the sizing of the left shoe in this pair -- I did some Internet research, and I am currently using a mechanical shoe stretcher and leather conditioner to try to rectify this. We'll see how that unnecessary and inconvenient process works out.The length of that same left shoe is also too short -- and I will try to rectify this next. I do not wish to return them and buy another pair in a larger size, because these might be too large, causing blisters and eventually calluses. In short, the purchase is wholly unsatisfactory; and I'll never buy shoes from this manufacturer (of any size) again.

Extravagant design, does have some serious caveats attached.
As soon as I saw these shoes on US Amazon I loved them. The tread (soles) are super aggressive with dual color look. The shoe is very think (great for cold weather) so you'll need to order one size bigger than your normal.Caveat; there is a scary chemical warning on the inside of the box warning potential user's that chemicals that cause birth defects and cancer that used in the construction of shoe! Gulp. Helpfully the guide you to a website, where you can read all about 'Proposition 65' a piece of government legislation that requires manufacturers to state ingredients/components in their goods and services. Rocky shoe Co. still leave the onus on you the user to make your choice after you've read all facts. I visited Rockyboot.com and did more research on their footwear and found that they are the U.S. Armies number one supplier of Army boots. Also lots info on You Tube too. I took that chance and kept my Shoes; love the look and comfort an they should last me for years (cheaper than equivalent in UK). However, word to the wise, I am religious and wore these in faith. My recommendation is if you're worried and a young man hoping to start a family - might be a good idea to skip these. But really well made shoe with little chance of seeing anyone else in UK wearing them. Hope this helps.
