Good reel
Spins super smooth and casts are smooth with mono and braided. I also got my dad a sedona reel, but can't say one is smoother than the other.If I had to choose again I would buy the 1000 instead of the 2500. sizes are about the same, but the 1000 is considerably lighter and both. Having tried both they are great for walleye and trout, even small pike and bass.My biggest pet peve is how hard it is to get extra spools and how expensive they are; I like to change my lines depending on the water and species im fishing

Great reel with great price. Shimano makes great reels at all price points. Only wished the reel had reverse retrieve.

Buyer Beware based on my experience this may not be a good a bang for your buck !
I have used this reel off and for a little over a year now . Now For a little FYI I have 12 other reels that I use so at best this reel may have been used 20- 30 times over the last 16 months. It is always stored in a pouch when not used and when put away for the season it was hung in a heated garage. Long story short I pulled it out to use this weekend and on my third cast of the day it bound up in the gear train and will not crank at all . I am just very dissappointed I bought Shimano because it is the cream of the crop one of the best. With no product support on this Item from Amazon I have no course of action to replace or repair it. Just Dissappointed I expected better from a manufacturer I thoroughly trusted and supported is

Carrete muy competente. Muy buen freno y muy poco peso. De pequeño tamaño con una gran prestación. Normal teniendo en cuenta el precio y la marca.
