These placemats are quite chic. I have white plates and a black table.... the black design on a white background is just perfect. The mats are thick enough to absorb heat and to quiet the clatter of dishes. They have a nice woven texture, too. These are a washable poly/cotton blend, which is very helpful. I am so glad I ordered these!

These placemats are made well and look beautiful on the table. Only one of the six is a little of on the hem. I haven't washed them yet. Hopefully the hold up.
