Yours Truly: A charming and hilarious second-chance rom-com from the author of THE FRIEND ZONE

This is the first book I’ve read from Abby Jimenez. Could not put it down. Such a lovely soft romance. The mental health aspect of this book with sensitively written and to me, extremely accurate. If you want a sweet, vanilla romance this book is brilliant.

This is one of three Abby Jimenez books I own and despite some niggles I'm ready to jump straight into another one! Yours Truly captured my attention and held it from the first chapter to the last. A full day reading binge and I regret nothing.Jacob and Briana were awesome together! They get off to such a rocky start full of misunderstandings but then the letters start and you just fall in love with them together... I loved the banter, the getting to know you elements, and the hospital setting.The first half was awesome and definitely heading towards a sparkly 5 stars from me... Then the second half hit and Briana's issues started to irritate me.The angst, stress and annoyance caused by the lack of communication (mostly on Briana's side but not exclusively) drove me demented... And just when I thought that the worst was over, and she was going to stop torturing the sweet gorgeous cinnamon roll that is Jacob, Briana lost her mind! Like... what?! I almost hurled the kindle across the room. (Vague, I know, but... spoilers.)I wanted to shake her. Shout at her. Make her STOP sabotaging her life and happiness (and Jacobs too!!) But alas... All I could do is keep reading and eventually get to the happy ever after that mostly made up for the drama-based headache the second half of the book caused.All in all, I appreciated the fact the book covered physical and mental health issues in a realistic manner and despite being an integral part of the story they didn't make the story too heavy or hard to read.

I loved this story from start to finish! It was even better than the first boo, which I really didn't expect.Jacob is the best book partner ever and Brianna is a perfect match for him! They both have raw emotions, clear vulnerabilities and always promise to be harmless to each other. It was just perfect

As always, these reviews are completely subjective...but this...this I absolutely loved! I honestly can not think of a time I read something that resonated with me. Keep in mind, I wasn't expecting it to hit. It was supposed to be an easy, summer read. It wasn't a mindset book that I picked off the shelf because I was ready to analyze some parts of myself. But the way social anxiety was represented in this book is so spot on.The way you feel seen when someone puts words to how you are feeling and can talk about things that you *secretly* think about (I do not want to give away too much, but I mean let's be honest, how many of us do openly say "oh yes, I definitely keep thinking about what kind of food I want to eat in front of others - if you know, you know).Jacob will forever be engraved in my mind.Were there parts where I was annoyed at some of the characters? Yes, but looking back, I really have to focus to remember those parts.Overall, great read!

I absolutely adored both characters in this story but if failure to communicate, jumping to conclusions, and assuming other people's thoughts were Olympic events, these 2 would win gold. And quite honestly it's my biggest irk in books. That said the humour and the romance were thoroughly entertaining and ultimately I liked more than I disliked.

First chapter of the audio book misses a chunk but is good so far

I have read a number of Abby Jimenez books and have enjoyed everyone. Her writing is wonderfully clear, images are easily formed with her descriptions of people, places and events.This story had me holding my breath, feeling frustrated that things couldn’t be said & falling in love with the families involved. Loved it. Going straight to Abby’s next book……

A beautifully observed romance, I smiled and my heart warmed rather than laugh out loud, but I didn't care. This was wonderful escapism with human characters flawed and brilliant, a truly beautiful story of love, fear and family. Bliss. We read again and look forward to more from the author. I'm still smiling hours later

Just finished this book. It's so good you can't stop and life will cease to exist until you put it down. So heartwarming and the best laughs! Please write more books as soon as possible please!!!!!

I can never write a proper review for Abby Jimenez's books. I just love them. I read them, I get completely lost in the story, I daydream, I get emotional and I just love them. Abby's books are beautiful stories about love, friendship, found family, health, mental health, discovering and rediscovering yourself, and courage. Yours Truly is no exception.

I absolutely love this book. It's well put together. Ther are no loose ends. I love how is not overly cheesy and depicts real life struggles. How Abby approach how someone with anxiety lived and navigates in this world is beautiful. It's worth the read that's all about to say. I bought this book for 0.99 but I would've paid 50 to read it.
