Bright and Works Well โ Just Be Aware of Newer Truck Wiring
This AMEXMART 60-inch LED tailgate light bar is bright and works exactly as it should once installed. It adds great visibility and a clean look to the back of the truck. Compatibility: It works, but on my 2024 Ford F-150 I had to hardwire it to the tail lights instead of using the trailer harness. Thatโs more of a truck-specific issue than a problem with the product itself. Visibility: Very bright and easy to see, especially for brake lights and turn signals. Definitely improves rear visibility. Quality: The build quality seems solid so far, and everything functions as expected. Color Options: The lighting colors are clear and distinct, making signals easy to recognize. LED Lifespan: Too early to fully judge long-term lifespan, but so far all LEDs are working consistently with no issues. Value for Money: Good value for what you get. It adds both function and style without costing a lot. Overall, this is a great tailgate light bar that performs well. Just be aware that depending on your truck (like newer F-150s), you may need to hardwire it instead of using the plug-and-play trailer connection.

Modern lighting that's easily seen
The adhesive is good, and sticks well. I would have liked that the end wires had more insulation around them to reach under the truck, but not a deal breaker. To help reduce any possibility of moisture, I put clear silicone on the light bar at the wire breakout point. It connects easily to the 4-pin trailer harness, and everything works as expected. Yellow turn signals and emergency lights, and when pressing the brakes, it goes to red. Since it's a 4 wire, you have to connect the loose red wire to your backup lights. What I did, instead of cutting into my tail lights, was run the red wire to my 7-pin towing connector. On my '01 Ram, it's the center pin, and most 7-pin tow ports will list which pin goes to what on the outside of the cap, so be careful if you do this - making sure the battery is disconnected, and that you insulate the connection well, so your backup wire connection does not make contact with any other pins (as I've done in the photos below-and I have 2 sets of light bars installed for extra visibility). I also connected the pod lights as well, so there's plenty of light now, and this light bar adds just a tad more.

JUNK... You get what you pay for!!! Cheaply made...
Don't waist your money and time. It's cheap junk. You get what you pay for!!! I plugged it in before installing. Everything worked and the LED's looked really good. Took my time to do a detailed job of cleaning under the tailgate then sticking it on. I even rolled it out the day before so it would be flat and smooth. The adhesive wasn't very good and I don't think it would have stayed in place very long. After installing, I checked all the functions of the LED's. I noticed it wasn't working like it did the first time I plugged it in. Checked the four pin plug and everything was fine. Each time I tried it I noticed the LED's were doing weird things. Some were working, but not going all the way to the edges of the bar. I gave up on it until the following day. I tried it again and it was even worse with the LED's going bonkers flashing on and off with no consistency. This thing is so cheapy made it's mind blowing. The four pin plug and wiring are so thin. I never should have ordered it knowing this would probably happen. I've already boxed it back up and printed the return label as a defective item and will be taking it to my local UPS drop off tomorrow morning. I will be buying a quality "American Made" LED bar soon. Yes, it will cost me more, but it will work properly and last!!!

I Love It!!!
I was a little hesitant in setting my expectations due to past reviews of other users on here, BUT, I have to say that my experience has been different from the individuals with less than stellar experiences. First off, let me say that in addition to the included instructions, it's worth mentioning that you should look up a couple YouTube videos on how to properly mount these LED brake light strips. The first thing I did was to lay out the strip on my workbench table for 48 hours in a semi climate controlled garage. I placed 2 pound weights on the ends to keep it stretched for the two days. Then I used a heat gun to apply low heat to soften the rubber surrounding the stip prior to application. (Apply heat only on the backside and not the front side where the LEDs are located). The MOST IMPORTANT thing to remember is to thoroughly clean the surface where you are mounting the LED light strip. I used original Simple Green cleaner in a spray bottle with a clean lint free microfiber cloth to wipe down the surface three times with about 5 minutes between each clean to facilitate the surface drying. I then took large cotton balls and doused them with rubbing alcohol and cleaned the surface twice, again, with 5 minutes between each application to facilitate drying. I then waited 5 minutes and used my heat gun on low to ensure the surface was completely dried of all moisture and to wqarm the surface a bit, then began the application of the light strip starting from the left side of my truck to the right, ensuring even application so as not to get the wavy light look (LOL!). Made my connections behind the rear bumper and tested for functionality. The light strip works perfect and having the reverse white lights is really cool. I've had this mounted for about a month now with no issues whatsoever. The adhesive is STUCK to my truck. I even tried pulling it off and it just stuck. Would not budge. Lights are bright and work perfectly with no LED's burning out even afte about half a dozen car washes with a pressure washer. I highly recommend these lights.

Bright rear LED light bar
So far the LED light bar is nice and bright and Iโm happy with its functions and looks. There are two drawback the wire cable could be another foot longer. AND the other thing is the thickness of each wire very thin, like maybe 20 gauge wire. Plus they are not wrapped for protection. One other thing, due to the led thickness, itโs hard to place behind the bumper on a 2023 Rebel. Had to actually mount on top edge of the bumper.
